25.01.2022 So my business coach, Bec from Pop Your Business, has put together a summit so that all her clients (one of which is ME), can showcase their businesses by sharing something with the audience. I’m sharing on how to prepare for your branding session on August 28. Please join the group to see all the amazing speakers sharing on a myriad of topics. ... It’s going to be awesome!

23.01.2022 This is my stunning client, Rita. Rita came down from Sydney especially to work with me. I am so grateful. ... We had a wonderful time together, and I’m sure she will agree - another friendship made

22.01.2022 Our @MIBA Networking Queanbeyan meeting looked a bit different (thanks COVID-19), but there was still the same vibe! Elizabeth and I practiced safe social distancing, while still documenting this meeting for posterity. Thanks to Bec McFarland from Pop Your Career for the fantastic tips on email marketing. And thanks to Joanne for sharing her story in the face of a natural disaster. ... Remember: keep marketing your businesses. Be ready for the influx of customers and clients when we are on the other side of this.

22.01.2022 Thank you to Cate Scolnik from Sane Social Media for an informative (and funny) talk on social media on Tuesday night at @MIBA networking Weston Creek. And huge congratulations to Joanne Rutter Holbrook on the publication of her first book! Don’t forget to come to her launch at Beyond Q Books | Bar | Barista on 28 March.

21.01.2022 I love meeting clients (who are more like friends, really), for lunch meetings. Today, the lovely Rel Bevan from Entire Physio and I had delicious dumplings from Dumpling Social, and then we had hot chocolate for dessert from San Churro Woden We did manage to talk about business, new opportunities, Covid-19, and we talked about our families, too. ... Thanks for a lovely afternoon, Rel

21.01.2022 Oh, helloooo Have I got some news for you!? I am kicking procrastination to the curb, and during my time in iso, I’ve been working on designing and developing my website. *gasp*... To really get it done, I recently signed up to a course, facilitated by the gorgeous Bec from Pop Your Business, called Launch Yo’ Thang. Keep your eyes peeled for more behind-the-scenes updates on how I’m doing... and wish me luck!

20.01.2022 A bit of a chilly shoot today, but we created some beautiful images and video for the delightful Kathryn from Littleredbirdy. Can’t wait to start editing these Thanks to my assistant/daughter for carrying the heavy equipment Hair and makeup by Brooke

20.01.2022 And for my second Zoom of the day, I had a super fun meeting with my client Elizabeth. We were going to meet at San Churros for hot chocolate, but ! She’s an angel - and has the halo to prove it

20.01.2022 I had a wonderful branding session with my client - but most importantly, friend - Styledge By Janie this afternoon. We created images from all of Janie’s services as a fashion stylist: from helping clients with their colours and choosing outfits, to wardrobe makeovers and styling workshops. It was a busy and varied session, and I can’t wait to start editing these images. ... Thanks to Davina for the behind the scenes shots (I always forget), and to Elizabeth, Patricia, and Davina for modeling for us

19.01.2022 I wanted to say hello, and thank you, to the 300 (+2) friends I have made on this page. Thank you for following me, and supporting me in the ways that you do. Every like, comment, and share means the world to me. ...

18.01.2022 Yep - I quit my day job 2 years ago, and I couldn’t be happier. I loved my job. I really did. But after 10.5 years there, I needed a change! I’d started my photography business in 2013, but didn’t have enough time to devote to it after working a full day, then mothering my children until their bed time. ... My business was always in the back of my mind. Calling to me. Telling me it was waiting for me to take the plunge. And then some changes at my job were announced, and I said it’s time! Having my own business has opened up my world in ways that I never expected. I have developed beautiful friendships with people I would never have met if I hadn’t left my job. I have worked with incredible people - mainly women - who are changing the world in their own way, and it’s just so exciting to follow their journeys, and cheer them along. I have encountered products and services that I never knew existed. I am proud of everyone who has the audacity to follow their dreams. I am grateful to the beautiful people I have met along the way: my clients, my supporters, my mentors, and my friends. Thank you

16.01.2022 Website update: I actually pressed publish on my landing page yesterday, and my website is live in the public domain. Thanks to the gorgeous April Mack for a) being a fantastic coach is getting me this far, and b) being a natural-born model in front of my camera.

16.01.2022 Sue Oliver and I are embracing creativity this year, and we wanted others to get creative, too. So we hosted and taught a class on flow painting this afternoon. We had a group of beautiful ladies create the most amazing pieces, and we all enjoyed afternoon tea together. Sue made the yummiest gluten free chocolate cake! It was so lovely spending an afternoon creating art and having fun in the midst of all this social anxiety going around!... We’ve already had enquirers about when our next class will be, so if you’re interested, let us know

13.01.2022 Oh my gosh! I recently had the chance to work with this powerhouse dynamo, Jen Seyderhelm. What an absolute treat! Jen is an incredible person, doing incredible things, and her love and appreciation, as a music historian, for 80’s music was *literally* music for my soul.

10.01.2022 Good morning from @bxnetworking Tuggeranong.

10.01.2022 Just attended our first AIPP Breakfast Club meeting via Zoom. In these ever-changing times, it’s important to maintain social connection - however you can. Seeing other friends in the photography community, and figuring out ways in which we can help each other, was a lovely way to start the day. ...

09.01.2022 Sitting in a rain-covered car in the parking garage while waiting for my daughter’s bus, I was thinking it’s a good thing I don’t have a photo session scheduled for today. But then I reminded myself that I’m the boss of my business, and if I need to reschedule a session because of the weather, I can. And I do! ... That’s the beauty of the type of photography I specialise in - it is fully customizable! From rescheduling due to inclement weather, to deciding on wardrobe and whether or not to have your hair and makeup professionally done, we design your session together so you get everything you ever wanted in a branding session.

08.01.2022 Behind the scenes: keeping my gear healthy. Thanks @robertcoppa for calibrating my lens, and to Glenn Martin Photos for lending us the thingamajig to be able to do this

06.01.2022 I remember exactly where I was when it happened! I was in the passenger seat of the car. I don’t know where we were going, but I happened to catch my reflection in the side mirror. And that’s when I saw it! It seemed to have happened overnight. I’d never noticed it before, but it seemed that I had developed... a double chin!... My fingers immediately went to the offending area, and yep - there it was! Mortified is not a strong enough word to describe my reaction. Slowly, I began to realize that most women over a certain age had the same thing that I did! And that is why when clients of a certain age come to me to get their branding portraits created, they get a quick lesson in turtle neck. This is the technique I use to disguise this offending additional chin in photographs. Works like a charm! I got you, girl
