12.01.2022 Our egg-speriment. We placed an egg in Pepsi for several hours this morning. During that time I explained that the shell of the egg is like the enamel on our teeth. When we pulled the egg out, we saw that the Pepsi had stained the egg (the longer you leave it the darker it will get) we used a tooth brush to clean the egg but the stain wouldnt come off. We then added toothpaste and cleaned it again, the stain faded but was still there. This showing the children that soft drink is bad for our teeth even though we brush our teeth. #myfamildaycare

04.01.2022 This morning we made spaghetti bolognese with home made pink spaghetti (beetroot juice instead of eggs in the pasta dough). Fresh herbs and carrots from our garden. 03.01.2022 Today my Lil Angel’s along with @brightbeginningsfdc explored a new park. This hands on, educational park was hands down all around endless fun. Learning about our Nations First People who are native to this area and the local animals and how they made their own homes and looking for the human made homes made specially for them, to pumping water from underground, to testing our balance on the natural adventurous areas scattered around the area, climbing high to take in the sights from the lookout on the playground. This is just some of what we experienced today. I myself can’t wait to go back.

03.01.2022 Today we celebrated international chocolate day by making home made snickers bars, edible chocolate play dough and other activities where we focused on numeracy, fine motor, colours and sorting. Im pretty sure ALL the children snuck a taste or 4 of each activity ha ha.

02.01.2022 We discussed the importance of throwing our rubbish in the bins not on the ground, as it is harmful to our environment and our animals. These animals got all tangled up in rubbish and fishing lines. My friends untied the animals and cleaned the ocean.
