24.01.2022 "It's a disinformation for profit business model." Boom. I urge you and your families to watch The Social Dilemma. It's one of the best docos I've ever seen. And yes - I do see the irony in posting the link on Facebook.... Like many, I'm reassessing my entire social media presence. https://www.thesocialdilemma.com/

24.01.2022 We are live for our last Wednesday Night Book Club (for now!) Join us via livestream.

23.01.2022 Saw a juvenile Port Jackson shark while paddleboarding today and NOW I CANT STOP SINGING THAT STUPID BABY SHARK SONG. Please, send help.

23.01.2022 Loving the new book by Sarah Wilson This One Wild and Precious Life, particularly the bit about the 'bread and circuses' of capitalism. Sarah's wise and hopeful messages are just what we need right now. You can buy it at your local bookstore, or through www.sarahwilson.com x

23.01.2022 Well, well, well. This is becoming quite a stoush over borders and tourism. https://www.smh.com.au//nsw-backs-federal-tourism-warning-

22.01.2022 Ah, that explains it! We've been astonished by the loud chorus of cicadas during bushwalks on Sydney's Northern Beaches. Have you heard them in your area? https://www.theguardian.com//cicada-super-year-the-familia

22.01.2022 This is SO FUNNY. Happy Friday! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OpWiFygdAAE&feature=youtu.be

22.01.2022 It's been a helluva week. Happy Friday!!!

22.01.2022 ICYMI last night, this was beautiful. x

22.01.2022 Of all the Bernie Sanders memes, this is my favourite. Bernie Sanders. First of his name. Wearer of Mittens. Sitter of Chairs. Happy Friday!

21.01.2022 Brilliant work here. The media needs to reflect the population it serves.

20.01.2022 A little over three years ago, women took to the streets in unprecedented numbers around the world. The Women's March was sparked by offensive comments - and actions - by Donald Trump, who'd been inaugurated the previous day. How wonderful to live in a world where that horrible person no longer wields enormous power.

20.01.2022 Jase and I have fully reached the bottom row here. You? x

19.01.2022 After today's tough news for our friends in Victoria, thought I'd pop this up. LEMME GO OUT!!! Thinking of you all with much love. x... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JE-dqW4uBEE

19.01.2022 OH YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Incredibly excited about this. Like many, we've missed family and friends terribly.... Now, we can officially come to Queensland for Dad's 80th birthday - yippee! https://www.smh.com.au//queensland-border-opening-to-sydne

18.01.2022 Welcome to our home studio!

17.01.2022 I first met Joe Williams at the Suicide Solstice in Albury several years ago. He spoke incredibly movingly about mental health issues. Since then, he's become a powerful advocate for his community. Tonight, he'll be in conversation with legendary author Bruce Pascoe and award-winning illustrator Charmaine Ledden-Lewis about their new children's book, Found, which explains in simple terms the devastation of the Stolen Generations.... So looking forward to this. Join us if you can. x

17.01.2022 What a lovely piece by Abby Alexander, Writer. x

17.01.2022 Have you heard of Milpera State High School? Its a very special place in Brisbane - a unique school for newly arrived young people of refugee and migrant backgrounds. So proud of my friend - and family! - Julie Peel, who is Acting Principal.... Check out some of Milperras stories.

16.01.2022 Check out the work of this brilliant comedian, Blaire Erskine. Just saw a parody on twitter of the wife of one of the Congress terrorists and it was gobsmacking. You can see some of her other work here: https://www.blaireerskine.com/viral-videos

16.01.2022 Listening to this tonight. For our beloved Melbourne friends. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=siO6dkqidc4

14.01.2022 OMG, I loved Schitt's Creek! If you started it and didn't continue, stick with it. Like a runaway freight train. Also, huge congrats to Regina King! #Emmys ... https://variety.com//ne/2020-emmy-winners-list-1234772271/

13.01.2022 Pancreatic cancer killed my Mum quickly. She was younger than I am now. The good folks at Cancer Australia are inviting all of us to have our say on the National Pancreatic Cancer Roadmap Hop on this link to help bring an end to this insidious killer.... Bravo to Purple Our World and the Australian Pancreatic Cancer Alliance for your crucial work. https://consultations.health.gov.au//national-pancreatic-/

12.01.2022 Sometimes you feel like you're beyond being shocked, the way 2020 has panned out. Then you read something like this: https://www.nytimes.com//p/woodward-trump-book-virus.html Are you beyond being surprised...?... Are you surprised...? See more

12.01.2022 What a superb story by Miki Perkins - journalist about the stunning swift parrot and the world-first Australian technology being used to track endangered species. It is a great joy to work with organisations like WildlifeDrones and gemaker, which are doing such important work. https://www.brisbanetimes.com.au//pioneering-tracker-drone

11.01.2022 Look, this new ad is very good, but I'd love to know why it took Australia so long to utilise the powerful tool of storytelling to change people's behaviour. Anyone know? https://www.abc.net.au//victoria-covid19-deaths-r/12540452

11.01.2022 Yes, regional Victoria!

11.01.2022 Moooooooooo! https://twitter.com/caseadillad/status/1297584169728565250

11.01.2022 *Att'n Sydney Northern Beaches peeps.* In recent weeks, hubby and I have been delivering meals twice a week in the local area. We've met some lovely people through Community Co-op Northern Beaches: volunteers and clients.... The Co-op is desperate for more drivers right now, because of the devastating social fallout from this economic downturn. If you can help - even for two hours, once a week - everyone would be most grateful. x

10.01.2022 Today is World Pancreatic Cancer Day. Last night we launched a campaign in Australia, hearing from outstanding professors and doctors about the latest research. You can watch this important conversation here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kw3FRhj_9V0... Huge thanks to Purple Our World and the Pancreatic Cancer Alliance for their tireless work. It's about time we dealt with this insidious cancer! #ItsAboutTime #WPCD #PurpleOurWorld

08.01.2022 So lovely being 'back in the saddle' emceeing in real life again. Humans! In a room! Who would have thought...? We're all missing face-to-face communication. Zoom is brilliant, but it's not quite the same.... I've started taking bookings for emceeing, keynote speaking and media/presentation training IRL in 2021. You can contact me here: http://traceyspicer.com.au x #events #conferences #emceeing #keynotespeaker #mediatraining #presentationskills

08.01.2022 This was incredible. If you missed it tonight, you can watch it here: https://iview.abc.net.au/show/freeman

07.01.2022 Can you believe it? The magnificent Magda Szubanski is being trolled by COVID-19 deniers. Send her some love, people. #WeStandWithMagda https://www.pedestrian.tv/news/sharon-strzelecki-covid-psa/

06.01.2022 This is clever...

06.01.2022 Happy Friday! OK, confession time. I've spent much of the past six months doing presentation training, teaching some wonderful people the secrets to hosting, public speaking and facilitating, whether it's online or at an event. As a trainer, it's crucial to 'keep your hand in', so I was delighted to be asked to speak yesterday at the world's first hybrid speakers' showcase - Cliftons Elevate.... However I was also bloody nervous! For all of the speakers, this was something - dare I use the word - unprecedented. TBH, I'd lost some confidence because it'd been a long time since my last event. Imagine my relief when this article came out. Incredibly humbled. Huge thanks to Ovations International, Cliftons and MICE, and a big shout-out to my magnificent fellow speakers. x PS: Yes, believe it or not, the Spanish flu actually helped women in the US get the vote! http://mice.net.au//we-took-part-in-the-worlds-first-hybr/

06.01.2022 This was an insightful, educational and - frankly - joyous conversation about neurodivergence, based upon the brilliant new YA novel Peta Lyre's Rating Normal. Huge thanks to Anna and Susan for sharing their warmth, candour and wisdom on Wednesday Night Book Club Group last night. You can buy the book here: https://www.booktopia.com.au/peta-lyre//9781760525309.html... AND watch the full video below, also featuring my delightful niece, Lauren, doing a reading from the book.

04.01.2022 Hope everyones having a lovely weekend Heres a little message from best selling author Victoria Purman, who will be joining us at 7:30pm this Wednesday to talk about her new book, The Womens Pages. Dont miss out! (register here: https://tinyurl.com/yymkc5tn or tune in on FB live)

02.01.2022 Definitely buying this book for my friends who have young kids. Take a look:

02.01.2022 "A bull ant crawls across a curse." This is the first sentence of All Our Shimmering Skies, one of the greatest odysseys in Australia literature. It is a heartfelt, brutal and lyrical love letter to this country. ... But it's also a meditation on toxic masculinity. I spent today absorbed in - and engrossed by - this book. (Full disclosure: I LOVED Boy Swallows Universe.) Whip out and buy it for some wonderful, uplifting and edifying escapism. https://www.harpercollins.com.au//all-our-shimmering-skies/
