04.01.2022 Well, its 2020 and this is my first post on Facebook as a new business owner, which is quite scary! I have just setup an Early Childhood Consultancy Business in SA, after working for the same childcare company for the last 9 years. Surprisingly setting up a FB page is far scarier than me going it alone! Times are different a decade on in small business, 20 years ago when I built my OOSHC business in the UK, social media was only just taking off. Now it is huge, so, I need t...o get with it! I am researching all the ways to reach out to potential customers using social media and its a mine field. I am a dual national Brit/Aussie and as is the case with so many of us, we dont like to toot our own horn. Selling yourself out there is daunting, after 25 years in my industry I like to think I have plenty of expertise, but certainly not in the social media sense. So please forgive me for this little introduction, which I am sure may be a different way of doing things on here, I am all about relationships and good old honesty. Getting to know people is going to the key to the success of my small business, so this is me!
