25.01.2022 Labor tried to con us this week and claim that they have given the green light to the Olive Downs mine. As revealed today though it is an amber light at best. Olive Downs has not been granted all of its mining licences and it is still years away. Meanwhile, the New Acland mine which could start tomorrow and create 500 jobs is given the red light by Labor. 18.01.2022 MARCH FOR LIFE It was an honour and privilege to join Cherish Life Mackay today. This March for Life is to show we are a voice for those who have no voice. Labor has legalised abortion up until birth. Life is precious and for the QLD Labor Government to pass this legislation is deeply upsetting.... The LNP is committed to reviewing Labor’s termination of pregnancy laws, including whether the 22 week gestational limit for on demand terminations should be lowered, the introduction of mandatory counselling services provided to women seeking a termination and the creation of offences or other measures to prevent and discourage coercion (consistent with domestic violence). These issues were largely ignored in the parliamentary debate and we believe they are important reforms that could improve Labor’s current legislation.
