22.01.2022 Fire restrictions for Wilbigna - http://www.wilbingashackscrew.com.au/fire-restrictions-for-

19.01.2022 Announcement... some of you may have noticed on other groups that we have our name listed as part of a unified social media front. Don't be alarmed as this is very legit. No point in elaborating on what is going on because it can be read elsewhere all over the groups that are banding together for many common causes. Does it effect us as a bunch of Wally's, absolutely not. What it will do for us and other like-minded groups is it will give us a platform in which to better assist in future sustainable track and area access.

19.01.2022 Now that we are in the beginnings of the festive season and dealing with all the stresses that come with it, road range is always an issue. On behalf of the Wi...lbinga Shacks 4x4 Crew can I ask everyone to display a festive season non-stress spirit by bringing back what use to happen many, many years ago off the beaten track please? Allow me to explain Being that there are not sufficient areas to get past one another on the 4wd tracks in Wilbinga, can the leader of the convoys or even if ya out there alone simply stop and wind down your window and ‘have a chat’ for about 10 seconds please?! Haha let the dust settle first ;-) Just to say good morning or good afternoon or good evening, how’s ya day/night been? And to let each other know how many ya have in convoy and what kinda vehicle is ya tail end. The convoy with the largest numbers have the right of passage to minimise further environmental damage when attempting to move off the track to allow safe passage past. In my experience lately there has been some people that go past and keep their windows up with their air-con on and look at ya as if ya have some kind of fatal infectious disease. The only thing missing is when they drive past - is the birdie. That’s just bullshit and it annoys me, I like to have a chat ;-) Once upon a time it was simply the thing we did, just to stop and have a little bit of a chat, absolutely no harm in it and look, it’s just common courtesy among those that have a common interest. Common sense! Stay safe out there guys this festive season and please consider in just talking to one another, please don’t try and be strangers in ya own 4wd vehicles. Oh yeah, sand flags folks, if ya have not got one, get one of ya mates to buy ya one for Xmas ;-) And use them in Wilbinga please! See more

19.01.2022 Just to satisfy my curiously how many people here would like to see the Dewar's Track or an alternative to the Dewar's opened back up again?

18.01.2022 With the fast approaching LWE in September coming up and those that are thinking of heading away camping with their best friend in the 4wd, please take notice o...f where many 1080 poison bait signs are on the provided map. There are more out there than what you see on this map, these way-points are just a few many of us have collated thus far and placed on the map and we are adding to the map as we come across more and more of these signs during our travels. Hopefully this map will stop a few dogs from being killed very, very inhumanely by 1080 poison baits. Please share by posting on your social media groups and friends pages for those you know that have a fury best friend and a 4wd vehicle. See more

12.01.2022 Notice: On Sunday the morning of the 12th of August the Shacks Crew and some of its extended competent volunteer group members will be moving a burnt out Patrol... from near Fig Tree. This area will be closed whilst we go about removing the vehicle to create a clear and safe passage back onto the main track for everyone. Shacks Crew will be as quick as we can and we will try and allow passage past when safe to do so. Can I ask everyone to share this info please? Thank you for your understanding and patience. 09.01.2022 The Wally's would like to wish everyone a very enjoyable and safe 'Festive Season' this coming Christmas and New Year. Merry Xmas and a Happy New Year to you and yours ;-).

07.01.2022 Merry Christmas

06.01.2022 This one is for all the Amarok owners... 1. wing mirror folds up not in like most 4wd's, so beware of this one as the wing mirror can easily break if anyone tri...es to fold it in instead of up. 2. Check the front tow attachment, it maybe the one you have has the wrong thread to screw in. If its wrong, obviously see VW and get it sorted before venturing out onto loose surfaces. Happy wheeling ;-) See more
