24.01.2022 Further update on Tracrossy Spinette, at Gin Gin campdraft last weekend they top scored the first round of the Novice, unfortunately drew a tough one in the final. Huge thanks to Kylie Rowe for sending me the pic, there is a real bright future for these two
24.01.2022 We held our confidence/horsemanship clinic this weekend and the weather was certainly kind to us. There was a couple of light bulb moments this weekend and some huge improvements, so so proud of you girls. Thanks again to my mum Ann Goodall for keeping everyone fed, nobody ever goes hungry. Your help is greatly appreciated. Thanks also to the Manilla Team Penners for the use of their amazing facility.
24.01.2022 UPDATE August clinic is now full (pending a couple of deposits). December cattle clinic also full at this stage. Thankyou all for your interest. With restrictions easing and we hope they continue, I have set the dates for our next clinics. The cancelled April cattle clinic will now be the 22/23 August, we have a handful of positions available. Our Horsemanship/confidence clinic will be the 7/8 November. ... And cattle clinic 5/6 December, this one is filling quickly aswell. Cattle clinics are $160/day or $320/weekend, preference given to those doing both days. Horsemanship/confidence clinic is $125/day or $250/weekend. Smoko and lunch provided. Covid restrictions will apply, but with our small numbers we will be fine. A $50 deductible/non refundable deposit is required for each clinic to hold your spot, all will be held at Manilla Team Penning grounds. See more
23.01.2022 Love getting feedback from horses we have sold, this is Tracrossy Spinette, by Seligman Spin out of one of our resident broodmares, Coolum Kestrel. Initially sold to Lyn Lyons as a yearling, then sold to Kylie Rowe from WA, through the landmark classic. Her first campdraft start and missed the final by a point. Looks like a great up and coming combination. Thankyou so much for the photos
23.01.2022 Covid cattle clinic, can't believe we pulled it off. With a scare early in the week with new restrictions and who was in the new zone and who wasn't, then everyone that could braved the cold and the wind to make it an amazing weekend. So proud of everyone, there was a few milestones achieved and alot of progress for both horses and riders. Hugest thanks to Grassbrook for the lend of the cattle, they were amazing as usual and a huge credit to you guys for pulling them through... such a tough season. Alex Laurie for carting them for me, always a professional and easy to get along with. The Manilla Team Penning guys for the use of their amazing setup. The Manilla council for helping with a covid plan and supplying an amazing cleaner for the toilet facilities. Extra special thanks to my amazing mum Ann Goodall for the fantastic smoko and lunch, the pumpkin soup was a hit. Also for looking after William over the weekend and being there to help me clean up afterwards. Also to Brian Goodall for carting some leftover hay for me this afternoon. Another special thanks to Jim Barker for the loan of the hay feeders. And especially to my husband Ross who helped me get everything to the grounds and kept everything running at home even whilst on night shift. Special thanks to Melinda O'Rourke, Lynda Brown and Ann Goodall for the photos, greatly appreciated. See more
