15.01.2022 Sunday 15th of October 2017. A bittersweet day in many ways. A day to pay tribute and celebrate 70 years of Holden manufacturing cars in Australia, that would b...y the end of the following week, come to an end. On a personal level, this would be the last event my previous camera would shoot, and prevented me from capturing many more photos on the day. But, it is also the day I rediscovered my passion for automotive photography after several years away from behind the lens. Completely overwhelmed by the number and quality of amazing machines I had not given much attention to in recent years gone by left me excited to see more. The following albums to be uploaded to the page serve as a timeline in my journey back in to my enjoyment of photography. I am extremely privileged as a photographer to regularly get to shoot such amazing high quality cars at many different locations. I hope you enjoy "The Dream Cruise" from my perspective, with so many more events to be shared ahead, including the Holden last day of production send off to the workers event coming soon. Another fantastic turnout made it d...ifficult to capture everything on the day, but I hope you enjoy what I was able to get. Thank you for your patience, on the day, while capturing everyone as they lined up, but also the wait for them to be made public. 02.01.2022 A few short weeks ago, I got to experience what would best be described as, a dream come true moment. What should have been an unbelievable experience, actuall...y turned out to be nothing short of a huge reality check, and one that I was very underprepared for. Through many challenges, hiccups, hurdles and outright failures, I almost felt like throwing in the towel. But, when presented with an opportunity that you have had your focus set on for a long time, you grab it with both hands and give it everything you've got. Aside from the benefits of being able to shoot from better locations around the circuit, I got to shoot alongside alot of my peers. Some of whom, I have admired, and been inspired by for many years, and it is always a privilege to work alongside those you have looked up to, and I appreciate their advice, and words of encouragement throughout the event. Even though many things didn't go as planned, we got through it in the end, and I will be forever grateful to those responsible for that opportunity. Now that I have had a chance to go through everything captured during that weekend, I have to admit to myself that the extra pressure put on myself to deliver, helped me to look at my shooting in a way that I don't think I have for quite a while now, and I am looking forward to sharing those results shortly........
