12.01.2022 GRASS ROOTS LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT Over the past few years, we have been helping the St Ann's College, North Adelaide student tutor Leadership group kick off their year with some Leadership Development training. These are post school graduates who are now stepping up to in a Leadership role to guide new students who have started in the College.... What an awesome opportunity and well played for stepping up. This would have to be one of our favourite groups to work with as they are enthusiastic to learn about how they can build their Leadership skills. They are open to new ways of doing things and haven't been conditioned to the current 'system' We framed them up with some thinking about what they need to do to BE the best the Leaders they can and how to work as an effective team. Then they worked through the 'Multi-Challenge Mission'...where we got to see them put their theory into practice. They achieved the Mission and a debrief conversations after the Challenge brought out some great insights and awareness for each of them on how they are going to lead their people in the year ahead. This is an exciting generation to watch Lead people - they are confident, keen, willing to think for themselves and adapt to their environment. Well played gang...and good luck!

11.01.2022 GREETINGS AND WELCOME TO 2020! Greetings all.....we're officially back for 2020, with a great year ahead planned! We always love this time of year as we get to work with our local Council clients and the teams they have chosen for the Australasian Management Challenge - a professional development opportunity within each Council.... Last Thursday we ran our 'Team Foundations' workshop for the City of Port Adelaide Enfield, a practical, experiential learning workshop, where we got the teams thinking about what behavioural standards they are going to set for themselves and also how they are going to quickly progress themselves the Stages of Team Development....and ultimately be a healthy and high performing team. It is always great to work with this style of new, 'project' team, as team members are always eager, enthusiastic and wanting to learn and grow! Well done team on completing the workshop and achieving your goal in the 'Multi-Challenge Mission'. Good luck on game day! Next up we have the City of Marion team and then the City Of Charles Sturt!

04.01.2022 VERY HUMOROUS FEEDBACK! WE ALWAYS LOVE TO GET GREAT FEEDBACK...to ensure that we are delivering value to our clients. Here is some very humorously written and valuable feedback we received from a participant at City of Port Adelaide Enfield (refer second paragraph)!... "I'm a bit cynical of work place team building exercises but i have to say, Tom's attitude and activities made a convert out of me! I think our team really gelled nicely together and we have developed some excellent interpersonal skills. I found the format of discussion, activity and then debrief a really good way to break it down. Thoroughly enjoyed the day! "Great work mate - if you're able to convince a cynic like me about team building then i think you've earnt your keep" Brilliant - its always satisfying to know that we can help the cynics and 'earn our keep!' More importantly, here is someone who loves to have fun and would be fun to work with!

01.01.2022 TWO KEY TAKE AWAY MESSAGES ABOUT TEAM PERSONALITIES AND BEING INCLUSIVE! Last week we worked with both the City Of Charles Sturt and City of Marion LG Challenge teams.....helping them prepare for the upcoming Australasian Management Challenge. We framed up the sessions with both teams thinking about what they needed to do to function as a great team, got them to undertake the 'Multi-Challenge Mission' activity scenario and then debriefed how they functioned and compared this ...to how they said they were going to function. Some great (and similar) lessons and patterns were identified; 1. HEALTHY AND HIGH PERFORMING TEAMS ENSURE THAT EVERYONE IN THE TEAM HAS A SAY AND PROMOTES INCLUSIVITY 2. GREAT TEAMS PUT STRATEGIES IN PLACE TO ENSURE THAT BOTH EXTROVERTED AND INTROVERTED PERSONALITY TYPES IN THE TEAM BALANCE EACH OTHER OUT....WITH EXTROVERTS LISTENING MORE AND INTROVERTS CONTRIBUTING MORE.
