15.01.2022 I’ve never seen kids enjoy veg the way they do on the farm. ‘So delicious’, ‘amazing’, ‘so much better than the shops’, ‘can we try something else?, are the reg...ular comments and apart from patting the goats, picking veg is the most exciting and most asked for event on the farm. When you eat something that you have grown, not only does it taste better but it feels better. Growing your own food gives you a sense of responsibility and pride, fosters resilience and teamwork, and develops a connection to the land and the natural world. I’ve been lucky enough to share this experience with the kids from Ashtonfield Public as they visit the farm each week as part of the #GrowingFutureFarmers program.
