24.01.2022 Working on this colourful little guy today!! .... loving my new little art studio space I have officially taken over Roger's office and turned it into my studio. It is such a great room, fabulous views, better light to work with and it's a great area to do all my framing and prints for the cafe and online sales.

21.01.2022 Practising cast shadows with this little A4 botanic study lesson with Louise.... Us florists know this as "Silver Dollar Gum", I used to go through many a bunch of this gorgeous stuff back in my floral designer days xx

20.01.2022 A little sky/seascape practice .... I just can't get excited about (my attempts) at landscapes, I enjoy my birds n animals too much..... think it's painting a subject with eyes and personality that I love so much. The idea of getting out with the other Hastings Valley Fine Art Association members at their weekly Plein Air painting days is very appealing though so will push on with a few more learning sessions.

19.01.2022 a lesson with Louise... some pretty little Sweet Peas to brighten your day Size: A4

18.01.2022 My first run at this beautiful bird.... might give it another go on a larger sheet tomorrow. Like my recent Echidna and the Lyre Bird I did last week not a drop of white has been applied to this King Fisher; all the highlights and white you see are pre planned and carefully preserved paper. Title: "Spotter" Eurasian Kingfisher ... Medium: Watercolour on Arches Size:A4 See more

07.01.2022 Love these guys!! Wow, watch 3 of the most talented watercolour artists in the world doing a painting in Melbourne (of Melbourne) together !! The only think missing is John Lovette .... (no it's not a motorbike video.... fast forward through the compare on the cruiser doing the intro )

03.01.2022 On a roll at the moment, (finally) finished this little guy yesterday ... meet "MILLIGAN" the (Spikey) Echidna. He was a very technical painting as all his spikes had to be masked then painted and bedded back in, I also used salt to granulate his face hairs to give him lots of character and interest. He is heading to Hastings Fine Art Gallery in a few weeks along with my Superb Lyre Bird. Title: "Milligan" the Echidna... Medium: Watercolour on Arches Paper Size: A4 I wont tell you how many times it took me to get him right - a very "challenging" subject for watercolour!! I hope you like him xxx

02.01.2022 Not my area of expertise but thought I would give it a crack anyhow.... they say practice, practice, practice when it comes to skin ... I believe toddlers are the next stage after babies
