18.01.2022 Byron Bay has definitely put on the weather this week. We check out of here and head to a friends place in Lennox Head until we are allowed to get back into Qld. I’m still checking emails each morning and have my head office assistance team supporting my business as well. If you are planning a visit to Byron ensure you book ahead for dinner at certain restaurants as they have limited capacity still.

12.01.2022 Landed in Adelaide around midday today, surprisingly alot wearing masks on the plane.. Checked into the new Holiday Inn on Blyth Street which is 1/2 way between North Terrace and Hindley Street, super central. So many restaurants to choose from, alley ways with chic cocktail bars and amazing Asian treats. Hotel is fresh, clean and modern we have a grab and go breakfast included where we can eat in their lounge or take back to the room tomorrow Very affordable and well loc...ated hotel. Casino is a 2 minute walk away, husband had a win, could sit at the bar and watch so many throw their money on the roulette table (1000s a drop) was unbelievable to watch Tomorrow we venture to McLaren Vale See more

11.01.2022 Hi everyone, just a quick update while I have service. As you may be aware our trip has been turned upside down due to the so called outbreak in SA somewhere. We were out of range with no service while all the news was happening. The train suddenly stopped right at this sign for some time. We were advised that health officials were boarding in Alice Springs and they were turning the train around and sending us back to Adelaide. The staff have been magnificent, we were q...uarantined to our cabin for about 3 hours and they continued to serve us drinks and snacks to our cabins. They are putting all interstate guests up in a hotel tonight and we are on a 6am flight to Sydney. Due to our Qld Premier's behaviour we cannot come home until 03 December. So we have a Spaceship campervan booked and will be driving up the coast of NSW to Byron and just waiting until we can cross the border bubble to come home. I have alot more to share about the Ghan, not that we were able to get off to any excursions but the food and service has been outstanding. So our train trip will now turn into a forced road trip. See more

10.01.2022 From Seal Rocks we have stayed in Port Macquarie, Nambucca Heads, Yamba and now in Byron so close to home but still no border update from Qld. I am hoping we can get in earlier than 3 December considering that person in SA lied. We hand our camper back tomorrow and are currently in a lodge at First Sun Holiday Park I have limited Wifi and will be working mornings this week as I can see some refunds that should be cleared soon. Thank you for your patience at this crazy time we find ourself in.

05.01.2022 Today was just amazing, started by my work colleague Kylie and her partner Jason picking us up from our hotel, first stop #paxtonwinery #mclarenvale then onto #victorharbour for lunch at the pub and to top off the day not only did we visit Pertaringa Wines meeting 5th generation Hardy #bechardy and husband Richard they kindly invited us all up to their amazing home at Tipsy Hill for some more amazing wines Ended the night at Thai restaurant right next door to our hotel, husband said best Thai he has ever had Early night tonight off on the Ghan tomorrow

05.01.2022 Checked in at the Adelaide Ghan terminal at10am served Crosser champagne on arrival, boarding by 11. Ensure you have a carryon bag for your next 3 days as you don’t get your bags once you check them in until you get off or you take your suitcase in your cabin which takes up some room. 40 carriages and nearly 1km long with 8000 horsepower is our journey stats Lunch was exceptional and so is the service so far. Time to refresh and put some warmer clothes on as the aircon is cold in the bar and restaurant.

01.01.2022 As most of you know I have been caught up in the border closures to SA, we were stuck on the Ghan, stopped at Alice Springs and turned back to Adelaide. We got the first flight out the next day once we arrived in Adelaide at 6am to Sydney, picked up a Spaceship Campervan and took off up the coast to Newcastle. Due to the Qld Premier giving only a days notice to get home without quarantine, we are now forced to stay in regional NSW and not allowed home until 03 December. I w...ill still be checking emails but due to Wi-Fi signals it may take longer to respond to you. If you require bookings or quote assistance while I'm away, I have an amazing team at head office who will look after you. Please email [email protected] or call 55933322 during office hours and let them know you are my client. If you are waiting on refunds I will be monitoring them on a daily basis while I am away and will let you know if they come in.
