23.01.2022 Laurabada posting after returning home from the 45th Vintage Yacht Regatta at QCYC. Great to see so many friends out sailing. While the numbers were down a bit ...down the quality was excellent.Great to see three Tasman Seabirds together ( Pagan Cherana and Joanne Brodie ) two Bluey Williams boats (Skirmish and Tequila), the late Albert Jeays much loved Wotama under new owners as well as friends first race in their recently relaunched Dragon,'Tarantella' The highlight for Laurabada was being awarded the Albert Jeays Trophy for the best presented vintage yacht overall (for the first time) The sailing on Saturday was a bit frustrating for a 22 ton yacht on a short triangular course and light breeze. Sunday saw lots of breeze and a great sail in the morning race before the wind really piped up resulting in the afternoon passage race being cancelled - a pity for us as a couple of long reaches in 25 - 30 knots might have seen us out in front. Good sail home to Coochie today in stiff west/southwesterly - up to 10 knots with only a headsail on a broad reach! Now back on the mooring and starting quite a few jobs like fitting a new lift pump, new water pump and starter motor refurb and electric control for the head - the sailing seems to be the easiest part! 19.01.2022 Whooa! Great shot from Stefano Gattini ... more here: https://www.classicboat.co.uk/gal/monaco-classic-week-2015/ . Yacht Club De Monaco

16.01.2022 Some action shots from last weekends Bribie cup clssic event. Tequila, Pagan and Joanne Brodie fought it out for Classic bragging rights and for the second year running all three boats finished inside of a two minute window after three and a half hours of racing. No doubt next year will be another epic tussle with the added prospect of extra Seabirds in the fleet. We hope you can be there!

16.01.2022 Queenslands 45th Vintage Yacht Regatta (14th,15th and 16th August 2020) is open for entries of both the motor and sail variety. Back by popular demand will be John Malcolm jamming is into Saturday night in his own special style. With all of us having been restricted to very limited on water events so far this year, it should be quite a spectacular! https://www.qcyc.com.au/club-sailing/vintage-yacht-regatta/

07.01.2022 Looks like a grand day out!

06.01.2022 Cute enough for someone to enjoy no doubt

02.01.2022 Look out for hazards on your boat and goodies on the beach if you are out and about. Quite possible they will slowly make their way North, depending where they fell off.
