23.01.2022 Keeping things super simple at the moment guys, the current 4hr trend is up and we are forming a bit of a symmetrical triangle. Although in the short term i still see some upwards momentum i cant help but see the large Darvis box from the previous consolidation possibly acting as major resistance on that way up. There is also a supply block around 11260 to 11460 ish, this imo would be the short term target if we break up here. Ultimately on the higher time frames Im still s...eeing a mid term correction and this upwards move on the smaller time frame pits us at a 618 retracement from that last sell off which makes a prime location for shorting the beginning of a new down trend. Managed to secure a descent position before the last drop and eyeing off targets below sub 9k but will manage trade before then. Invalidation is basically getting back up into that previous consolidation. The Key here is INVALIDATION... I always get asked why Im doing what Im doing and why i manage my trade in such fashion. I see what i see and set a trade plan accordingly, if the candles print something else on the board and its not the same as what i was seeing its simple...Im wrong and im out. Im looking at high time frame market cycles, liquidity pools, accumulation and distribution phases and thinking like im trading with a billion dollars. When you zoom out and attack the charts a little different you start to see things from a different perspective. Anyway just wanted to share my thoughts with you all happy to discuss

20.01.2022 When your short....but not short enough, just open another one yeah? Every Monday night I run over the markets with our students and show them what Im looking at, how i feel about the current market and where i believe the next big market move is going, where im getting in and where im getting out. I always show my hands and i always back it up, I dont sit in the shadows waiting for a trade to play out then say "everyone look at me Im a gun i do this like ere day yo...", and i also dont change my mind every 5 mins there is a candle going another way or someone says something different. I never let someone elses TA conflict with mine which is one reason I simply do not listen or follow anyone at all. If Im wrong Im wrong and dont worry i get it wrong plenty of times, but I have spent 3 years building a trading strategy and a system that not only works for me but so many others that i have personally coached. Some now making a massive difference to there life with a nice extra pay packet each month, some of them are now trading full time and have had solid weeks of making 10K + in profits. The possibilities are endless with trading which is what i love most about it, that freedom. Call of Duty cold war Total time spent trading - 6 minutes Total time killing zombies - 1.2 hours Total zombies killed - 945 Some people stay glued to the charts all day, looking to catch every opportunity incase they get left behind (while everyone else goes to the moon) But who said trading has to be a "full time job" Once you have a descent strategy that is consistently profitable, you end up spending less time on the charts and only taking trades with a higher probability of winning. I took the original entry off the pull back onto a fib level anticipating a pause on BTC that would see a short term recovery on the sat value of some of the high cap alts. 17.01.2022 About 2 years ago now I started dabbling on the new York stock exchange, nothing crazy but just applying similar techniques i have developed in trading and technical analysis to diversify into other markets and to hedge some of my wealth out of aud and into the usd markets. . Im by no means a big player in the financial world infact im considered a shrimp when it comes to capital i started with 5k, but im ok with that and understand its slow and steady that wins the race.... Trading is a marathon not a sprint . My daily/monthly gains may seem insignificant but with the compounding effect with in a few years these $300-$400 days start turning into $3000-$4000 days.. Just like when I first started, my $30-$40 dollar days turned into 300-400. . It takes time, its a skill, its discipline, its physcology, its growth, its slow but if you never take the plunge and get started, well in 5 years time when im cruising around the bay in my new 7mt stabicraft on a Wednesday you will still be at work, procrastinating what your doing with your life. . Learning how to trade was probably the best decision i ever made. It wasnt necessarily a spontaneous decision but it was one of those "just take action you pussy" type moments. 15.01.2022 What does this mean to you? This is a common mathmatical philosophy that is somewhat open to interpretation but here is how I see it. . If you have something, and you do nothing different for 365 days then at the end of the year you still have that something. .... But if you have something and you do a little bit more each day, then at the end of the year you will have a lot more than your original something. . As a proffesional trader we have to work with this philosophy every day weather you realise it or not. In order to remain sustainable and consistent you need to do that little bit extra to have your account grow while still drawing an income. . But the same methodology can be applied in lots of different aspects of your life. . In fitness - Pushing your self that extra 1% can help strengthen and condition your stamina In saving money - Putting a little extra aside each day/week could mean a sizeable amount of savings at the end of the year. In learning - Read an extra few pages a day, obtain more knowledge and education. . Some of the most power and wealthest people on the planet didnt get there by just doing what is necessary or the bare minimum. To be successful in business, finance or life for that matter you must be willing to put in that extra 1% a day in order to grow. 07.01.2022 Follow up from yesterdays analysis. Played out quite well so far with that last little pop up to the bottom of the darvis box with a nice rejection on both the 4hr and 1day chart. With a nice big wick to the upside followed by a bearish engulfing, but we really need to see this daily close to be sure which wont be until tomorrow morning.... Good news is i got my position on the H21 contracts, now a few of the students asked me yesterday which contract i was using to take this short and why, so ill explain why i chose the H21 and why i utilize all the available contracts on the platform. So as some of you know i really only bother trading the higher liquidity markets in crypto as i dont have time to throw darts at the board on the latest shitcoin flavor of the month so i stick to the likes of Bitcoin, ethereum, xrp and eos but mainly bitcoin. So on bitmex we have 3 main options to trade bitmex, we have perpetual swap, the Z20 and the H21 (i left out the U20 as its about to close) The Z20 contract end date is closing on december 25th and im already in a short position on this contract at a good price point that i dont want to touch right now. The other thing is i firmly believe in our current market cycle that we will still be in a downwards market until early next year so this position im happy to keep locked up in a short for now. Now the new position i just took was using the H21 contract, now i actually wanted to keep this open for placing a long term long if our retracement came much quicker than im predicting. For example if we dropped to sub 9k in a few weeks i would consider start opening long term long positions into 8k so if that happens i want the H21 contract free for that. However its unlikely that will happen and its pointless leaving that contract open for now so i filled it with this short as imo its the perfect opportunity if you where bearish to get into a new long term short. I often keep the perp contracts open incase i feel like trading the smaller time frames on a nice up trend but i never like to stay in a position for any great deal of time because of the funding rates. So anyway thats me for the day, short term long played out , long term short bags filled Now i can chill out and watch this play out over the next month whilst everyone gets excited over the next 2% candle. Hey if Im wrong thats ok, ill nip it in the but and re-asses the markets and see what i missed or whats changed and find the next set up. To be transparent my win ratio is about 55-60% on average, this means Im only a little bit better than being right half the time sounds bad huh..... But my risk to reward on average is around 5:1 so i can actually afford to have a win ratio of just 20% and ill still be making money How cool is that? Just remember guys when retail is screaming at you "HODL, IM BULLISH" they arnt helping.... I'm sorry but "hodling" does not move the markets and claiming to be bullish while your hodling is not going to help the market move in your favor. If you want to move the market in your favor and claim to be a bull you need to actually BUY and if you take a look at the charts you will find no one's buying shit right now. We call this hopium you may hope the price goes up, but you arnt buying your self lol. I feel that if we can't hold support at these low 30, we will see a sharp sell off followed by a slow and lengthy bleed to mid 20s over a couple of months. A bounce here needs to be strong to switch any sentiment other wise we are just delaying the inevitable. 03.01.2022 Patients and trust. I take a completely different approach to position trading in the equity markets as i would day trading the currency markets. The only tools i really use is trend direction and horizontal levels and base my decisions more off the speculation of fundamental analysis... I took a position a few months ago into Moderna with the anticipation of them being one of the first to market with a vaccine for covid19. Over the last week news has been trickling through and the investors are coming in now and pushing the price up nicely. Trading mid to high caps is much slower than what a lot of currency traders are used to, specially if buying and selling the underline asset, but its still a handy way to diversify a trading/investment port folio and can some times be a lot less stressful not having to watch or manage a trade every day. https://www.bbc.com/news/health-54902908
