18.01.2022 GRANT FUNDS CLOSING SOON: The Small Business COVID-19 Support Grant Businesses severely impacted by COVID19 - especially those that have had to close their do...ors - can get up to $10,000 to spend on a variety of services or to help cover costs (see below). You need to have a pre-COVID turnover of greater than $75,000 and employ less than 20 FTE (payroll less than $900,000) and have been have been highly impacted by the Public Health COVID-19 Restrictions on Gathering and Movement Order 2020 effective on 31 March 2020, and have experienced at least 75% decline in turnover compared to the same two-week period in 2019, (for businesses that have been in operation for less than 12 months, refer to the guidelines) plus some additional criteria. The grants will be competitive and I would urge you to apply quickly if you think you might be eligible - as funding is limited. The Grants close on June 1st 2020 You will need to prove that your business has been impacted (a letter from your accountant or BAS Reports) and you will also have to have a plan for how you will invest the funds. In recognition of the significant impacts of COVID-19 on small businesses, the funding can be used towards the following: Financial, legal or other professional advice to support business sustainability and diversification; Strategic planning, financial counselling or business coaching aligned to business development and diversification; Building the business through marketing and communications activities, for example, content development (web pages, mobile apps, visual and audio media etc.); Digital/technological strategy development; Digital training or re-training to adapt to new business models; Capital costs associated with meeting COVID-19 safe requirements; Specialised digital equipment or business specific software to move business operations online (e.g. logistics program for online ordering) meeting business costs, including utilities, rent.
