25.01.2022 Hi Everyone, Due to the course getting very wet I have been asked to advise everyone that carts are not to be driven on fairways, you are to park the cart in the rough adjacent to your ball and walk onto the fairway. Please also keep carts well away from tees and greens. We will assess the condition going forward and advise, If it looks like people are not abiding by this rule we will ban carts completely.... Hi Everyone, I have had confirmation of something I was advised on the weekend, I have not forced those who own carts to only have one person in the cart, most people have only had one person anyway. If someone were to come out to the club the club could be fined as well as those in the carts so please only one per cart for all carts on the course.... I have also been told we can sit in the club house, well up to 20 of us. Please observe all social distancing and signage, do not move tables and do as Nat & Fred instruct. Remember this is the first week of the teams event and it would be great to beat last years number of 9 teams. There is no requirement to play together just pay your $10/head and give me your team details, I will do all of the scoring once I have the cards. 18.01.2022 Hi Everyone. For those of you that dont read your emails, there is important information regarding this weeks comps below. Well I have some good and some bad news. As of 11.59pm Wednesday the 5th of August we will have stage 3 restrictions imposed on us, this will bring many changes to our golf games as detailed below.... Club competitions must not be conducted as it is deemed to be an organised sport. GA have advised that social rounds can be handicapped. Groups are to be 2 players maximum, unless they reside in the same residence. Hire clubs and buggies are not to be used, please ensure you have your own buggy. The hire of motorised carts can only be to people aged 65 years and older or someone who has a medical certificate for that purpose. Please ensure you follow social distancing rules, wash hands and use supplied hand sanitiser. Use your own pen as they will not be supplied. Please put your name on the registration sheet either at the green fee desk or in the bar. A face covering is required to be worn while playing golf unless you have a medical condition that means you cant wear one. Visitors this Friday will be charged $12.00, this may change going forward. The clubhouse will only be open for takeaway drinks and food, you cannot sit down inside. Our priority is to look after our members and having only 2 per group means that members will get preference over visitors. All of the above is just a heads up and things may change in the next day or two. An amended timesheet for this weekend will be following as soon as possible, please review and advise if any changes are required, send them to [email protected]. I am expecting quite a few to pull out so those in the late time slots on Saturday should move up, this is why I need to know. We will still want to run timesheets for our members on Friday and Saturday to ensure they get a game as the two per group restricts the amount of people that can be on the course at the same time, please ensure you book your timeslot as you would if it was a competition day. 11.01.2022 Hi everyone. The time sheets are out! The Saturday timeslots have changed rom 15 minutes to 12 minutes. This will mainly affect the mid to late morning players so please check what your new tee off time is, should be no more than 20 minutes earlier. If this is a problem let Mossy know and he will try to shuffle groups around. For Friday the 12/7 the following times are available for groups of 4 7.30, 7.45, 8.15, 8.45, 9.00, 9.45, 10.15, 11.00 & Noon onwards... 09.01.2022 Covid19 update. Please note that all green fee players will be asked to show their licenses to prove their place of residence. We hope that people are abiding by the rules but also wish to keep our members safe. We know these are difficult times and we thank you for your assistance

09.01.2022 Hi Everyone, Below is an update of information regarding our requirements during the COVID-19 outbreak. Can I please ask that all names of those playing in the Friday or Saturday events be recorded on the timesheet, it is fine to book a block but please enter the names and all visitor phone numbers on the timesheet, members are fine because we should have contact details on file. I expect members to have also booked a timeslot on the timesheet and not just turn up without goo...d reason, GA say that if you do not have a booking you should be turned away but we will try to cater for all golfers. Please note that also that we will not be accepting visitors from Covid lockdown areas. The recording of contact details is a requirement stipulated by the government so that if someone is identified to have played at the golf club with Coronavirus all other people that may have come into contact with that person can be contacted. I would also like to ask members of the club to adhere to signage and instructions given by the bar staff or committee. The tables have been set up to ensure social distancing and as such are not to be moved, could I ask that people sit at the tables that have been set up as the staff can quickly count those in the club, at present we are only allowed 20 people in the club house and 10 gathered outside. I have been told that there was an inspection done at Traralgon GC so they are doing inspections. Fines for non-compliance could be up to $100,000 for the club plus fines for the individual/s. If all members can just do there bit by ensuring compliance with what is required that would be much appreciated. Remember to keep at least 1.5 metres apart and wash your hands regularly, there is sanitiser within the club please use it when you enter. Regards Peter Moss

07.01.2022 Hi Everyone, As you will be aware, the Premier and Chief Medical Officer of Victoria announced further restrictions for Metropolitan Melbourne and Mitchell Shire as of midnight tonight and extending for 6 weeks. This unfortunately affects some of our Members who live in some of these metropolitan local government areas.... The Government directions can be found on the following link: https://www.dhhs.vic.gov.au/updated-restrictions-1159pm-wed In summary, Members who reside in metropolitan LGAs cannot travel out of their local area to play golf: "In order to help stop the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19) across the state, you cannot leave metropolitan Melbourne or the Shire of Mitchell to exercise." We ask that anyone who may have friends from these areas who were going to travel to Trafalgar for a game of golf to please advise them that this will not be possible while these restrictions are in place.
