24.01.2022 Traffic Diversions Group have teams involved in the early works in the Northern Zone of the North East Link project, providing traffic management on behalf of our client CPB Contractors. The project Supervisor from CPB, Ricky Bateman, recently took the time to contact us to let us know that the TDG Team Leader Jordan Colley and his crews at the site had been providing exceptional support during the completion of the gas investigation works over a six-week period. In particu...lar, he mentioned that there had been positive public feedback about the performance of Jordan and his team members. At TDG, our motto is that Better relationships build better projects and the best way to establish good relationships with clients is to do a great job. It’s clear that Jordan and our team on the North East Link project have been doing just that. Thanks for the feedback Ricky and well done to Jordan and all the TDG team members working on that project.

23.01.2022 Today's focus of National Road Safety Week is on protecting pedestrians. Please remember that our TDG workers, and all those who work on and beside the roads, are actually pedestrians and vulnerable to careless drivers. Please be mindful of all pedestrians and drive with extra care.

23.01.2022 EMPLOYEE APPRECIATION POST Rachel has been a dedicated and hardworking member of Traffic Diversions Group since she commenced work with us in September 2019 and has gone from strength to strength. Rachel has been working on the North East Link Project Early Works Project, where she has been Team Leading a site which is extremely culturally sensitive and has a number of complexities involved with leading that particular job. Rachel has been recognised for her willingness to go... above and beyond, exceeding the expectation of TDG on the North East Link Early Works Project. TDG would like to take this opportunity to say a big thank you and keep up the good work that you and your team have been doing onsite. The TDG Team

23.01.2022 All this week from 17 - 23 May, Australia is marking National Volunteer Week! It’s a time to recognise, celebrate and thank all the volunteers for the vital role they play in our lives and for their selfless and generous contribution of both time and effort. We have many team members at TDG who volunteer in the community, including our Plan Drafter Jade McDonald. Jade is incredibly active in the community, serving as a volunteer Co-ordinator for Pearcedale Auskick, as well... as volunteering as the Pearcedale Under 14 Girls Football Team manager. Each Christmas Jade is also actively involved in the Frankston Life Christmas Lunch, buying, cooking and serving food for hundreds of disadvantaged families and individuals. Jade is just one of many people at TDG who volunteer regularly in the community, and to them all we say a big ‘thank you’ for your amazing contributions! #NVW2021 #waveforvolunteers

22.01.2022 Traffic Diversions Group (TDG) are certainly the go to company for major rail projects throughout Victoria. Over the past five years we have had the opportunity to be a part of a significant amount of the level crossing removal projects, as well as various other projects improving the rail network. TDG value good relationships within the organisation and with our clients, working together to fulfil our commitments and achieve our shared goals. We strive to exceed expectatio...ns and demonstrate quality and integrity in everything we do. Our team of dedicated traffic controllers are all enthusiastic towards delivering safe operations at all times, to minimise risk for workers and for the general public, plus have a constant focus on productivity and efficiency to ensure continual client and stakeholder satisfaction. TDG are in good stead to be a major player with the remaining 37 level crossings to be removed before 2025 and look forward to helping make Melbourne safer and easier to get around,

22.01.2022 Winter isn’t coming it’s here. Despite the onset of the cold weather, our awesome TDG traffic controllers will still be out on the roads happily doing their job keeping the public safe day and night. So as the roads get more slippery and Winter rain and fog starts to reduce driver visibility, please make sure you always slow down through roadwork sites so you can keep them (and yourself) safe.

20.01.2022 Civil Training Australia are certainly taking the training experience to a new level!

20.01.2022 Sometimes, being a traffic controller means having to deliver bad news to frustrated drivers. A great example of this was highlighted on the Channel Nine TV news recently. The reappearance of COVID-19 cases in Victoria has created a rush on Melbourne’s testing sites, including the major one at Malvern which TDG’s team members are providing traffic control services for. As people returning from New South Wales and those who have been at COVID-19 exposure sites line up to get t...ested, the extended wait times have strained the patience of many people desperate to get a test. Our team members have done an outstanding job of keeping traffic moving safely wherever possible and trying to keep information flowing to the people waiting in their cars. If you’re visiting a testing site, please be patient and understand that the traffic controllers will do their utmost to get you through the line as quickly as possible. 18.01.2022 This week is National Reconciliation Week 2021! Running until 3 June, it’s a week for all Australians to learn about our shared histories, cultures, and achievements, and to explore how each of us can contribute to achieving reconciliation in Australia. The theme this year is that Reconciliation must be more than a word. Reconciliation takes action and here at TDG we couldn’t agree more. That’s why we’re firmly committed to offering employment opportunities to Aborigina...l and Torres Strait Islander peoples. To better achieve this goal, in August 2020 we partnered with Goal Indigenous Services (GOAL), a majority owned indigenous employment service provider helping first peoples’ secure, long-term economic independence within their communities. Just last week we worked with GOAL and our training partner Civil Training Australia to hold a session in Preston aimed at identifying local Indigenous people who were interested in working in traffic management so we can assist them in getting the skills they need to work in the industry with TDG. The session was a great success and we were blown away by the enthusiasm from the participants. See more

18.01.2022 You might notice something a little different about our traffic controllers this week. Look out for the special yellow ribbons and yellow armbands being worn by many of our team members to commemorate this week's National Road Safety Week. This week and every week, please remember to slow down and follow the reduced speed limits through roadwork sites - for their safety and for yours.

17.01.2022 Such an important message. Our traffic controllers all have families and deserve to get home safely after work. Please slow down through roadwork sites.

15.01.2022 Traffic Diversions Group welcomes the news that a Queensland court has handed a 12-month jail sentence to a man who pleaded guilty to serious assault on a Traffic Controller. The man was also fined for his actions, which the judge called inexplicable, gratuitous violence. Like physical intimidation and assault in any workplace, attacks on Traffic Controller must not be tolerated by the community. TCs are just doing their best to keep the community safe as they travel through roadworks. Please remember that the next time you’re tempted to get frustrated at delays while driving through a worksite. https://www.couriermail.com.au//762dfeb47c30b455c4c932b8ec

14.01.2022 EMPLOYEE APPRECIATION POST Hayley has been an integral member of Traffic Diversions Group since she commenced work with us in July 2019 and has really excelled in her leadership. Hayley has taken on an extremely demanding and high paced role as the Team leader on one of our Covid testing sites. For those that have worked on these sites, you can appreciate the difficult nature with high public interaction and high media scrutiny. Hayley’s outstanding performance, continued gro...wth in your leadership role and exceptional work efforts is greatly acknowledged as a strong contribution to the success of TDG. TDG would like to take this opportunity to say a big thank you and express our graduate towards all that you do, day in day out!

14.01.2022 All at TDG were heartbroken to hear the news of the death of a traffic controller in Western Australia yesterday. It was the second traffic controller fatality in WA in six months and highlights why it's vital for all drivers to slow down through roadwork sites and obey the reduced speed zones. Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the traffic controller killed. https://tmaa.asn.au/male-traffic-controller-killed-after-b/

14.01.2022 Traffic Diversions Group were on site for the recent occupation at Manchester Road in Mooroolbark as the works for the Level Crossing Removal Project reached an important milestone. Two 31-metre-long concrete beams each weighing 120 tonnes were installed at the Manchester Road site, lifted into place by a 350-tonne crane and a 500-tonne crane working in unison. As this was the first such beam installation in the region, the process caused great excitement amongst locals... who came out to watch the lift. This added foot traffic made the job of our traffic controllers, who put in a busy 12-hour shift during the occupation, all the more testing. Our team worked brilliantly on the night, co-ordinating with the police presence on hand and managing the public viewing areas from which locals could watch the action unfold. We’re so proud of the part TDG have played in the project and ensuring the boom gates at Manchester Road will be gone months ahead of schedule and the new station will open by Christmas. Another job well done by our industry-leading Rail traffic management team! Read more about the beam lift here: https://levelcrossings.vic.gov.au//manchester-road-beam-li

14.01.2022 EMPLOYEE APPRECIATION POST Meet Goce! He's been with Traffic Diversions Group since August 2017. Goce originally started out at TDG working on a number of our rail projects, before then undertaking our freeway training program for 3 months, which has now lead him to becoming one of our team leaders for day time projects! ... Day in day out, Goce goes above and beyond to ensure the safety of his fellow employees, our clients and the general public, all whilst performing the tasks of his job to the highest standard. Traffic Diversions Group would like to say a big thank you to Goce for his continuous commitment and outstanding work. We appreciate you! The TDG Team

12.01.2022 As traffic controllers are out and about working on the community's roads every single day and night, they're often the first on the scene to assist when motorists strike trouble. How they respond when they come across a person in need will tell you a lot about the traffic controllers and the company they work for. That's why we were so pleased to get a call recently from Cameron, a member of the public whose car broke down on Royal Parade. He just wanted to thank two of our awesome traffic controllers, Tiffany Turner and Fred Demetriou, for stopping to help him and making the scene safe. Well done, Fred and Tiffany!

10.01.2022 Lyndsey Hall joined TDG as a traffic controller in mid-2020 after previously having worked as a paramedic. Her training in dealing with medical emergencies came in handy recently when one of the workers on her job site required urgent medical attention. Lyndsey was working as part of the South Eastern Program Alliance team delivering the Manchester Road and Maroondah Highway works for the Victorian Government’s Level Crossing Removal Project when a worker on site sustained a head injury. Her experience as a paramedic allowed her to care for the patient, providing first aid until an ambulance was able to arrive on scene. In recognition of her outstanding effort in looking after the injured worker, Lyndsey has just been presented with a special award by the project team. We couldn’t be prouder to have Lyndsey on the TDG team!

09.01.2022 As a company, TDG prides ourselves on caring for the community and our team members really live and breathe that approach. Take our Planning Manager Steven Beadel for example. He recently volunteered to take part in the World's Greatest Shave in order to raise funds for the Leukaemia Foundation. Steven has quite the mane of hair as you’ll see from the photo but he is willing to sacrifice it to join the battle against blood cancer and help families affected by Leukaemia who... need emotional and practical support. To date Steven has already raised almost $500 and is well on the way to his goal of $2,000 to fund vital research to help more people survive blood cancers, while improving their quality of life. If you’d like to support Steven, just use the link below to pledge your donation to this amazing cause. Well done, Steven! Donate now: https://secure.leukaemiafoundation.org.au//FundraisingPage

08.01.2022 National Road Safety Week starts this Sunday. Look out for our TDG team members wearing yellow ribbons (and yellow armbands) on the job but, most importantly, please look our for their safety when you're driving! #NRSW #DriveSOS

08.01.2022 How you look on site matters even in the construction industry. At Traffic Diversions Group we’re justifiably proud of the fact that we own most of our fleet of vehicles, so we pay extra attention to the standard of their appearance. We know that our clients want a traffic management partner who not only can keep their people safe, but who will represent them well in public as an extension of their own brand. That’s why we ensure all our vehicles are maintained to the highest standards and cleaned regularly, just like our Dandenong South based team member Dallas Scott is doing in this photo. He and his colleagues in the yard do an outstanding job of ensuring that when you see a TDG vehicle on the road, it will look great.

08.01.2022 EMPLOYEE APPECIATION POST Always Strive To be Better Than Who You Were Yesterday Meet Tessa Latimer. In the short time Tessa has been with TDG she has grown at a rapid rate to be where she is today. Tessa’s journey started with TDG in the later part of 2019 where she was amongst many who helped make Major projects such as Hallam Road Upgrade Project & Yarra Trams Project the success in which they were. It was there where Tessa first displayed personal working qualities su...ch as drive, diligence & commitment. After being apart of TDG's on field training program, Tessa now finds herself as an integral part of the rail portfolio currently working ongoing out on the M&M Rail Upgrade Project. TDG would like to take this opportunity to say a massive thankyou to Tessa & express our gratitude towards all that you do. It most certainly does not go unnoticed.

05.01.2022 EMPLOYEE APPRECIATION POST Meet Adrian Di Teodoro! Adrian has been with Traffic Diversions Group for 3.5 years and has been working across all aspects of the business. You will most likely see Adrian working on the freeway network these days, operating a TMA across our major projects. Recently whilst working on the CPB M80 Upgrade Project, Adrian spotted a potential hazard that could have resulted in a serious injury occurring. He ensured that the issue was raised through th...e correct channels on the project and followed up to make sure that it was rectified. Adrian was rewarded for his efforts, receiving a certificate of appreciation and a gift voucher. We were pleased to receive the feedback about Adrian, as he always puts in 100%, no matter where he is working or what his role is for the day. Before the COVID-19 pandemic, Adrian has also been assisting with the development of TMA drivers, with upskilling and training new drivers. Everyone at TDG would like to thank Adrian for the consistent hard work he gives day in and day out.

05.01.2022 At TDG, we understand that it’s often the little things that can help make a huge difference. That’s why we were delighted recently to receive a call from Rob, a member of the public. He had taken the time to call us up to compliment one of our team members who was working for our client McConnell Dowell as part of the Western Program Alliance implementing the Level Crossing Removal Project at Browns Road in Werribee. Rob explained that he had spotted one of our traffic controllers, Deirdre Porter, picking up rubbish near her work site. Rob explained that he was really impressed that someone would go out of their way and do that, and wanted her to know what a wonderful job she is doing. Keeping worksites neat and tidy is important, so we couldn’t agree more. Well done, Deirdre!

03.01.2022 EMPLOYEE APPRECIATION POST Everybody meet Sheridan! Sheridan has been an employee with Traffic Diversions Group since September 2019 and has excelled at a rapid rate within the civil space.... Sheridan came to us with absolutely no experience within the industry but brought relentless commitment, drive & enthusiasm. With Sheridan already holding a current RIW Card it was only a matter of time before she would join our rail division, having obtained and proven her relevant industry skills that reinforced her pre-existing qualifications. From there, Sheridan was put through our Team Leadership Training, resulting in her becoming one of TDG's experienced Team Leaders, running crews within The Rail Portfolio. Sheridan takes pride in the safety of her team and has an eye for continuous compliance within her day to day work, consistently driving to be bigger and better. TDG would like to take this opportunity to say a big thank you and express our graduate towards all that you do, day in day out! The TDG Team

03.01.2022 EMPLOYEE APPRECIATION POST Meet Alan Renwick! He has been with Traffic Diversions Group for 3.5 years. Alan is an important part of the utilities & civil portfolio. He has been working with several power maintenance & utility clients. He has currently found a role working alongside Interflow on 16 of their projects and always being requested back for the great job he does. He takes great pride in what he does and ensures that safety and compliance is his number one focus. At ...the end of the day he wants the job done safely and the correct way. Alan has also successfully trained up many current Team Leaders within our company and I’m sure if you have worked with him there would be a piece of knowledge you would have gained from him. He is always driving to bring others up and takes the time to explain things to them thoroughly. TDG would like to take this opportunity to thank you Alan for all the hard work you put in, it doesn’t go unnoticed.

02.01.2022 Let’s take a moment to reflect on the fine work of one of our TC’s Douglas Roberts. On the Bell to Moreland Level Crossing Removal Project, amoungst all the pedestrian chaos and heavy vehicle movements along Munro St with trucks coming in thick and fast, there was a mother with her two young children on bikes watching the piling rig working. As the mother and eldest boy were talking and watching action, the youngest son took off on his bike heading straight for the road in th...e path of a car. Doug quick reactions stopped the child just in time from a passing vehicle and by all accounts from witnesses, he certainly saved the day. This highlights the level of alertness to hazards required during these periods of high vehicle movement mixed with increased pedestrians, especially on the weekends when everyone wants to come down and have a look at the amazing work the guys are doing out in the field. The overall buy in from the traffic controller’s into the TDG & John Holland way of working has been fantastic and a real credit to all involved. GREAT WORK DOUGLAS!
