24.01.2022 One take skills tip- want to learn to track stand- try this. (Want more one take skills tips- let me know in the comments).

23.01.2022 A fun weekend in St Helens hanging riding with these rippers (and others), I’ve been working with these 3 pretty much since they started riding on dirt, and I love seeing how they are progressing. Looking forward to more trips like this one.

23.01.2022 I've always loved the Derby trail T's. I really wanted something similar for Southern Tas, so I've put together some T-shirts, which you'll find here: https://trail-culture.myshopify.com I love mine, my kids love theirs, and now they are available to everyone- the plan is to kick back $2 from every sale to the trail fairies. I'd love some feedback but please be kind, while I can happily spend hours talking about tire pressure- I know about as much about fashion as I do about quantum mechanics...

22.01.2022 #TrailCultureTas sticker giveaway. Want a free sticker? Send me a message with an address and I’ll pop a couple in the post (aus addresses only, offer valid till there all gone)

22.01.2022 Hardtail or Duallie. I’ve been asked this a bit lately- I’m lucky enough to have both. I think of it like this. When you get to the scene of the incident a duallie has your back and, to an extent will cover your mistakes, where as a hardtail will often as not throw you to the ground and laugh at you. Both are fun, but I have to be in the right mood to be laughed at when I’m sitting in the dirt. But above all else, ride whatever makes you happy...

21.01.2022 Searching for the perfect gift for the mountan biking dad in your life? How about an upgrade for all the bikes. Smooth- never over rated.

Get in touch to book your session. I will be launching some new skills sessions this spring, "Wheels up" a session for riders who have learned to hop, are confident moving between "Neutral" and "Ready" and want to start jumping over features they would usually roll and "Batteries Included" an E-bike specific course that includes Eb specific techniques to help you get the most out of your bike. Eb's are welcome on all Trail Culture courses and are become more popular- because they are fun! Also coming this spring- Trail Culture T-shirts which I’m super excited about, although not as excited as Trail Cultures resident grommets who have already picked theirs out!

19.01.2022 STOLEN today from town (Hobart) someone wandering around with bolt cutters. Canyon spectral aluminium. Small frame. Keep eye out. Thanks !

19.01.2022 Thanks to everyone who came out for skills training today- I hope you had as much fun as I did.

18.01.2022 It’s been a busy month- lots of great stuff happening, new tracks on both sides of the river, Glenorchy Mtb park master plan out for comment, lots of skills coaching and even a local radio interview. Thanks to everyone who’s signed up for skill upgrades- I’ve loved being back out teaching. I’m sitting down this week planning sessions for late August/September if anyone has any requests pop them in the comments section, and I’ll do the best I can. But before I get to that I’m off to ride cliffhanger, which has quickly become a favourite. Big shout out to all the trail builders/groomers- love your work.

16.01.2022 Trail Cultures November Update. Its been a busy couple of months, lots of riding(Derby, St Helens- Yay!!) lots of skills training, thanks for the support everyone, Trail Culure T's are here and I've got a new whip on the way.. Spring special pricing has a month left to run- if you want to get a weekday session at a reduced rate now is the time to book in. There is a cornering workshop coming up (Corner Like You Mean it) which has one spot left. I've launched a new course (Wh...eels Up!) which is for anyone who has completed either Stop Drop and Roll or Up, Down Over Easy- and wants to start spending more time in the air. I believe pre qualifiers are important for more advanced skills, an understanding of theory and coaching terminology is as important as riding ability to get the most out of these session and it helps me keep everyone safe. Lots of great feedback on the T's ours is a print on demand model, so allow a couple of weeks from the time you order- and like everything, expect postage times to extend in the lead up to Christmas. I've been working an an e-mail list and am hoping to launch a semi regular newsletter soon. If you'd like to be on the list drop me a DM with your e-mail. See more

15.01.2022 What do you do when you can’t buy the t-shirt you want? Make your own. Quite excited about these.

12.01.2022 Your latest chance to have your say, out Glenorchy way:

12.01.2022 These might just be my favourite plant, pretty- but deadly if your a small insect, anyhoo, it’s been a crazy year, and I’m starting to get excited about a big summer of riding!! Thanks to everyone who’s come out to play, so many great sessions- last nights learning to fly was awesome, I love watching people grow wings. I’ve got some weekday spots available over the next couple of weeks (Tuesday mornings, Wednesday’s and Thursday mornings) get in touch if you’d like a skills upgrade before your summer riding trip.

10.01.2022 Oh’ there’s nowhere to run... (For big h-air fans)

08.01.2022 Who's taking up mountain biking? This week I'm doing sessions with people aged between 10 years old and 80 years young. I love seeing so many new faces in on the trails, and seeing families having fun outdoors together. Trail Culture- turning umm into fun for everyone!

05.01.2022 Who’s up for some weekday skills upgrades? I’ve got a spare spot at 10am this Tuesday 22nd, the weather looks just about perfect. Spring special pricing available. Send me a message if this sounds like you. Update- this ended up being a super fun private session for a rider who’s got teenagers to keep up with..#mtbtasmania

05.01.2022 I’ve had some random things happen in the bike park- but yesterday’s was one I never expected, working with a fun group of people when a journo from the abc rocked up (unannounced) wanted to do a story on Stop Drop and Roll for abc radio. He stayed for a chat after the session, thanks to everyone in the group for being great about it.

04.01.2022 I’ve just had an awesome week off In Derby, while I was away a couple of clients got in touch with some feedback (thank you-I love feedback). Hey Marc,I’m up in Derby and wanted to let you know the coaching sessions with you have paid dividends! I have definitely improved since last time I wa here yippee. These comments are one of the best parts of my job. Next term is filling up with riding and coaching stuff- get in touch to turn your um into fun! (Or maybe yippee).

04.01.2022 Job satisfaction= finding out one of your clients shaved 30 minutes off their best time down the north south track. FUN. Having a little break in Derby for the next week or so. 01.01.2022 Its been a week of contrasts- from Summer riding gear on the weekend, to searching for my warmest socks and gloves . More winter skills sessions on the events page, their is a ladies only (except the instructor) Stop Drop and Roll course starting next Tuesday (2 spots left), a Wednesday afternoon Stop Drop and Roll Starting on the 9th of September, an Up Down over easy, for those who want to find their flow over never ground)on the 22nd of August, and a Cornering clinic on the 5th of September. Ran into a couple of recent Stop Drop and Roll; graduates this week, they had ridden the corkscrew on the weekend, what had been a massive um, is now fun!! And that why I love what I do. Stay warm!

01.01.2022 Thanks to everyone who came out for skill training in July. Having to close down a couple of months ago was scary and hard. I can’t express how grateful I am for the support since reopening- July has ended up being one of my busiest months ever, thank you! August/September dates are up on the events page. Early indications are that it’s going to be busy. By request (I love requests!) Tuesday mornings stop drop and roll is going to be ladies only. (Except the instructor) have fun out there it’s a great day for a roll.
