23.01.2022 POSTPONEMENT: The Around Sunday Island Trailable Yacht Race scheduled for December 12, and the subsequent re-sail scheduled for December 13 have been postponed due to a strong easterly wind being forecast right across the weekend. Port Albert Yacht Club in consultation with the Trailable Yacht Division are looking to re-schedule the race with a possible date of January 16. You must adhere to the following: - This is allowed in an OTB dinghy. - This is allowed in a yacht that does NOT have a motor. If your yacht has a motor you cannot use it for sailing exercise. This applies even if you do not turn your motor on. - The 2 hours includes travel to and from the activity - The 2 hours includes rigging and de-rigging - You must stay within your 5km radius - You must wear face masks while on land - You must keep 1.5 meters distance from others See more

GLYC Commodore, Andrew Somerville and Club Captain, James Frecheville in conjunction with Mark McLellan, AS-TYD Chairman have decided to Postpone the above Regatta until an opportunity presents to reschedule later in the year. Every effort will be made by GLYC, as host Club and Organizing Authority to notify all registered competitors and also others who have indicated an intention to compete.

06.01.2022 ATTENTION - TRAVELER SERIES 2020/2021 Yes it is intended to run a Victorian Traveler Series for the upcoming season. Given the current COVID-19 situation and associated restrictions in both Metro Melbourne and Regional Victoria it is simply too early to publish a notice of series or calendar.... As soon as soon as we confirm dates we will, but the series is likely to include the usual favorites like Marlay Point, Around Sunday Island, Pelican Race Geelong, Around French Island, State Titles and the Four Points Race.
