09.01.2022 THANK YOU // Usually the start of the Ski Season up here in the High Country, the Queen's Birthday Long Weekend just gone was a little different to normal this ...year. But after more than 70 days of lockdown, it was still the busiest weekend in beautiful Bright in a very, VERY long time - the busiest since the Labour Day long weekend in March, when this shot was taken by Image Writer. 2020 has been a tough old year for many of us, especially up here in the High Country with the bushfire/COVID double-whammy. So we were absolutely blown away to see so many of you head back up here to support our little town. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to everyone who visited us in Bright this weekend - to those who sat and ate with us, those who came and grabbed some takeaway, and those who tried but may have missed out because of the crowds. Fun fact: Did you know that between the restaurant, Hop Terrace, front garden, and The Block, we can seat more than 500 people at one time at Bright Brewery? Under the current COVID restrictions, we are limited by law to seating just 8% of our normal capacity - just 40 people at a time. So believe us when we say - bookings are essential! We'd love to seat every person who walked through our doors but, in the current climate, it just isn't possible. And it's definitely not because we don't want to! Many venues are in the same position so, when you feel like heading out to your favourite bar/restaurant/brewery/venue/cafe, please plan and book ahead, and be kind and patient with staff when you get there. Everyone is doing the best they can to operate under the current conditions. And on another note - how great is it to be drinking tap beer again?!
