23.01.2022 Well that's a wrap for today's Trail Kids Wentworth Falls races at our brand new location at the Fairmont Resort! Results for our 3km race are posted on our website here: www.trailkids.com.au/trail-kids-race-results.html Don't forget to fill in your time on your certificates ... A massive thanks to all our volunteers! Without you all willing to step in and play key roles the day wouldn't have been possible. Special thanks to Leigha and Ben particularly. A big thanks to our supporters for providing the prizes for all the kids; 2773 Glenbrook, Tailwind Nutrition Australia, Fairmont Resort & Spa Blue Mountains MGallery By Sofitel (lots of Dani the Ducks around!) and massive gratitude to Glenbrook Greengrocer for supplying the refreshing fruit for all the kids post-race! As always we thank the Running Wild NSW committee and Wentworth Falls Race Director Ian Sargent for supporting Trail Kids events by giving us the opportunity to integrate into their race day. Thank you to all parents for getting behind Trail Kids and supporting our passion for providing grass roots trail running events for children. We love it and we hope you do too! Lastly, we did have quite a bad fall on the trails today, which can happen from time to time in our sport. We just are so proud of the children who stopped and offered support and assistance and communicated to us so we could attend to the young boy quickly. He is receiving medical treatment on his knee and is doing OK and will know more tomorrow. He is in good spirits and we know he will bounce back quickly. We have a break now until the 20/21 season kicks off as we don't have a Trail Kids race at the Running Wild Mt Portal or Mt Solitary events. However, if you're looking for something a little bit different but with the same Trail Kids feel, check out our Holiday Camps which we will again be hosting in the Easter Holidays out of the Fairmont Resort. 14.01.2022 Update on Cooper, the young runner injured at our 3km race. He had surgery on his cut knee this morning and is now recovering overnight in hospital and is looking forward to going home tomorrow. His resilience is amazing. ... We wish you all the best in your recovery and rehab to running Cooper!
