20.01.2022 Teaching, like Horsemanship, requires a commitment to learning. Every good horse person knows that horsemanship is a life long learning process. The greatest teacher in this field, is of course, the horse. If a teacher is learning, and driven to seek continual development in their teaching skills, they must be a learner taught by their students. ... As we assess, ask students to analyse and reflect, to develop and grow...so must the teacher. Horsemanship is a partnership. So too is teaching. A good partnership sees the viewpoint of the other and takes action to support development of the other by being developed themselves. Knowing a good personal developer or great teacher is divinely intrinsic to being human. Not all success is progress. Not all success develops our humanity or our horsemanship. Not all that glitters is gold. The horsemanship-humanity journey acts as a reflective process which can enable a willingness and motivation for personal development. If we are willing to be personally developed...we "seek". If we seek...we shall find. When we find, we may find that the seeking is the true gold.

18.01.2022 Hmmmm....an educator is a facilitator of learning. To facilitate learning equitably requires a means to remove obstacles to learning. To remove obstacles requires; ... an identification of obstacles, an awareness of which obstacles are able to have the means applied effectively. Courage, wisdom, insight , resource, knowledge, and understanding may be some of the best means. Many of these qualities ( or means ) cannot be bought, yet are of great worth and may come at great cost.

07.01.2022 Did you know that the human brain is wired to learn? Also that there are more chemical rewards in the brain function while seeking than there is at the discovery and finding moments!! We are designed to have reward for continually learning...being in the adventure mode on a pathway to discovery! Very cool.... So, be encouraged...we are not meant to be know it all's! We can cheerfully say " I don't know"
