13.01.2022 Train 365s Walkabout to Work program has been a great success in Moree. Train 365 had the absolute pleasure of training selected long term Indigenous local youth earlier this year . They gained skills in White Card, Confined Space, Working at Heights and Hand and Power tools . These participants gained employment with www.aboriginalsustainablehomes.com.au who won a contract to rebuild a duplex under the Aboriginal Housing social housing plan in Moree. Training Indigenous yout...h and seeing them employed is Train365’s ultimate goal and the Walkabout to Work program does just that. Walkabout to Work is a very successful program established in 2014 by Train 365 . This specialised program has 90% employment outcomes for Indigenous employment . Thankyou to Aboriginal Sustainable Homes for this opportunity, Cathy Buddha Deen from the Aboriginal Employment Strategy in Moree, the local community and of course the exceptional participants. 11.01.2022 Train 365 has ended a very busy week training students at James Sheahan Catholic High today in White Card . This allows these students to be able to attend work on any construction site in their holidays or weekends and preparing them for an Apprenticeship or Traineeship into full time employment after school. 07.01.2022 The Job Trainer Fund has been announced: The Australian Government will invest $2billion to give hundreds of thousands of Australians access to new skills by retraining and upskilling them into sectors with job opportunities, as the economy recovers from COVID 19. Australians will have access to free or low cost, training places in areas of identified skills needs through the establishment of a new $1 billion Job Trainer fund.... The Job Trainer Fund will provide for around 340,700 additional training places to help school leavers and job seekers gain the skills they need to get a job .
