How can you sell your business if you can’t even clean your room? How can you get ripped at the gym if you still stuff your face with Twinkies? How can you find your purpose if you’re obsessed with likes on Instagram? Optimize your system so that your achievements become a mere byproduct. Be the architect, NOT the victim of your environment. Never leave the house without making your bed. Always skip the processed junk aisle. Set a time lock on your phone to avoid social media distraction. Become the operator of asystem that will serve you a lifetime. Reduce exposure to the sh*tty things in your life, and increase exposure to the things that will make you great. Where should you begin? Begin by taking the time to pause and reflect. By default, your state should always be one of reflection and inner awareness. Yet too often, we are distracted by our day to day affairs to ever get the opportunity to be introspective.
