25.01.2022 Good luck to all my guys tomorrow in the Blackmores Running Festival. Whether it’s the full, half or the 10ks the team have put in the hard work during training so really hope they get the times and reward they are after. Best of luck also to the Can Too East POD & Macquarie team I’ve trained over the past 16 weeks, you’ve all come along way and look forward to hearing all the success stories post race. Finally friend of nearly 30 years the sprightly Joan Feeney will line up ...for the marathon as a tune up to her next one in Dublin in October . Unfortunately NO run for me this year due to injury but I’ll be out and about on the course supporting, hope to see you then. Go well. Cheers See more
24.01.2022 Reminder that the Spring Centennial Park run group will resume this Tuesday morning at 6.10am. We meet at McKAY OVAL for a warm up and then move around the Park. Hope to see all old and new faces Please let me know if you have any upcoming races or need help with any programs ... Cheers. See more
23.01.2022 Following on from the Mermaids Debut performance, wondering if the Training with Timmy team want to put a team in to this? Its a great day for a great cause (and according to the ladies, the eye candy isnt half bad...) Let me know whos interested.
23.01.2022 Super morning over the Northern Beaches for the Palm - Whale Beach 2.8k Ocean Swim. Tough enough conditions but all the team went well. Very proud of everyone especially those that 12 weeks back were struggling just to do 50m in the pool on a Wednesday evening. Me, well happy enough with a 53 minute effort although got schooled by a couple of the Superfish clients in Georgia and Nenah who smashed it in 49 and 50 min respectively. Think I need to get Tommy H and Enda back to get some confidence back;)
22.01.2022 It may be getting colder as the winter sets in, but the Prince Alfred Pool is still a toasty 25 degrees in the water. A few spots have now come up for the best and most social squad training around. 6.15am every Thursday for 60 minutes followed by brekkie at nearby Cook & Archies. Please message me if interested. Cheers
22.01.2022 Super morning out at Homebush for the State 10k with some cracking times run from the team and HuRT Squad in near perfect conditions. Happy enough myself with a 37.13 and slowly getting the times back down. Well done also to the Two Taffy lads James Matthews and Craig McLaughlin (PB), Rich Large, as well as Birchy - Paul Birch on his effort after his 14 pints and 6 sambucas the previous evening.
22.01.2022 New Year, New Goals. Join the Training with Timmy team for 2017 for your next targeted event. Whether its a run group, swim squad or even some cycling we have all areas covered for all levels and standards.
21.01.2022 Good luck to all the Training with Timmy team for the New York marathon tomorrow. Best wishes as well to all the travelling Can Too, Travelling Fit, and even the odd Hurt Squad member who Ive spotted. A lot of hard work, sweat and the odd tear or two has been shed to get this far. Enjoy the occasion and experience and make sure you sound me out in one of the thousand bars around post race to celebrate and tell me all the success stories . Cheers
21.01.2022 And that’s a wrap for another year. Last swim session and end of year drinks for the most social swim squad in town last night. Great bunch and a pleasure to train every Thursday morning at the pool, sadly non of them have a note between them when it comes to singing karaoke Merry Christmas and all the best for the New Year. Cheers
21.01.2022 It may be winter but it didnt stop a top morning at Camp Cove with mates and training partners for the 5 x swim loop & 4 x loop (5k) run leg Aquathon. Some fast times throughout and congratulations to Rich Large for first over the line with Hardman J.C 2nd and Cookie Man - Aaron rounding out the podium places. Many thanks to P.O.D for timing, photos and the excellent video footage. Will be back again next month if anyone keen for a hit out and a chance to dislodge King Richard from his throne.
19.01.2022 Congratulations to the latest member of the Training with Timmy team to be added to the marathon list. Step up Diane Tremain who smashed her way around last weeks Melbourne Marathon in 4.21:48 in tough conditions that many werent able to handle (myself included). And shes not finished yet, as Diane will be backing up at this weeks Nepean Triathlon. What have we created? Next up sees a massive team head overseas to the U.S for the running of the New York Marathon. Some gr...eat preparation put in by Vanessa, Pam, Wayne, The Love Doctors Craig & Victoria, Pip Davis and Emma P, as well as the big Can Too and Travelling Fit team. Exciting times. Cheers See more
19.01.2022 A great way to end the week with a swim at the best pool in Sydney that is Prince Alfred Park. Made even better today with the sausage sizzle on offer at the end that Eoin Reville demolished ( he was having a sausage every 200m it seemed ) Top staff and management at the pool as well who always look after you, sad to see the boss Lenny Kearns leaving to return home to Ireland, but looking forward to welcoming Chris to his new position.
18.01.2022 Well it’s kept us all honest and a great way to keep in shape over the past two months and the Timmy Covid 5k handicap run continues and gets bigger each week. Some quick times once more from the team that’s so pleasing to see. With social restrictions easing every week why not come down to test yourself out especially with the local ParkRuns still on hold. Always a fun morning with coffee and cake post run, and if you run a PB then good mate Enda Stankard will actually shou...t you a FREE coffee. Let me know if keen. Cheers See more
18.01.2022 The idyllic coastal location of Huskisson was the venue for the team as they lined up for the sprint distance triathlon (750/20/5k) in perfect conditions. Congratulations to everyone who smashed out some super efforts throughout and some even stronger in the nearby Husky pub post race. Next up Wollongong Olympic distance in a fortnight, so keep up that training .
16.01.2022 Well another successful trip to New York complete with the Marathon team to wrap up a brilliant year of running and meeting new friends. Already planning ahead for 2018 and one of the trips on many peoples Bucket List is the popular Medoc Marathon in Bordeaux. If you are more the social runner ( wine at every drinks station) than worrying about PBs then this is the race for you. Just looking for expressions of interest at this time as may take a small group over next September. Check it out https://youtu.be/3wLsrmeA0dA
15.01.2022 First race of the 2017 season and what a tough one to kick off with for the first of the Striders 10k series at Homebush. Some fine runs and in particular from Enda Stankard and Paul Birch who will soon to be Tokyo bound with the professional Travelling Fit team for the upcoming marathon.
15.01.2022 Normal circumstances would see me with Mari Mar, Michael Walton and the Travelling Fit family for the running of Australian Outback Marathon. Sadly it couldnt happen this year but it didnt stop the team from running and keeping the spirit going. Managed to get Half done in my back garden that doubles up as Centennial Park, meeting a few friendly faces along the way certainly helped pass the time. Huge congratulations to all my clients who got involved and to the many more w...ho also did through T.F. Hope to return next year to race director Micheal Waltons dulcet tones as we cross the finish line and good mate Lee Peacocks pre start dancing . Stay safe Cheers See more
13.01.2022 I know Ive already posted about this years Australian Outback Marathon on the 3rd August. But I thought Id share a race report/ experience from competitor and Tasmanian friend Annie Robson. Lovely write up and hopefully it may encourage a few of you to sign up for the number 1 event in 2018? Enjoy https://www.facebook.com/TravellingFitAustralia/posts/1622097917840972
12.01.2022 Underdone, poor preparation and it certainly wasnt pretty but I couldnt be happier after running the New York Marathon. Dragged myself around in 3.20:21 enjoying the whole experience. Probably the best running event Ive ever done with the atmosphere and crowds unbelievable. Huge congratulations to everyone from my team on some fantastic performances it was a pleasure sharing all the race experiences with you post run. Full report to come soon , but first its time to see the city. Cheers
12.01.2022 Blackmores Running Festive. Cracking day and conditions meant some superb times over the Full/Half and 10k events throughout the morning. Huge congratulations to my training partners Sam Agnew in the full and Darren Jordans 74 minute half times the runs of the day. Fantastic efforts also from my team Joan Feeney, Cheryl and Sarah Melrose over 42ks. And finally to the Can Too POD And Macquarie team in the half marathon who put in fine efforts after an enjoyable 16 week program Ive been privileged to train them for. Well done to all. Cheers
12.01.2022 Not one of the Wonders of the World for nothing and after getting the opportunity to run the Great Wall marathon/half race recently its not hard to see why. Unbelievable experience and a must to add to the bucket list. Many thanks to the Travelling Fit team and the delightful group that were able to join me and have a trip of a lifetime. Met so many nice people on tour and even managed to recruit some new members to the Training with Timmy squad after a visit in the gardens of Temple of Heaven that will join us once the necessary visas have been sorted ;)
12.01.2022 Sydney at its best for the Blackmores Running Festival. Cracking morning and well done to all the team and training partners on some superb runs along the way. Last hit out for me over 21ks along with Jacqueline OConnor and many others from the squad before I fly out on Tuesday for Berlin. Enjoyed a post run brekkie with little sister ( who smashed a 10Ks run, well done Meagan ) as well to cap a top morning off. Next stop Berlin-Dublin- Stoke. Im a lucky lad Cheers
09.01.2022 Annual City to Surf and the best race day of the Year didnt disappoint again. Superb day out and despite having good mates Enda Stankard and Tom Highnam coaxing me through I struggled over the hills but still got around in 55.05 As always many fine runs from the team and training partners probably non better than Brendan Fehon and his 48 minute effort. Many thanks to Enda for breakfast hosting duties and Tommy H for the post race drinks in the marquee.

08.01.2022 Another very successful Australian Outback Marathon in Uluru complete. Many thanks to Mari Mar & Michael Walton for putting on the best run event within Australia. Great to be part off and privileged to be able to see every single runner over the finish line. Many thanks also to the whole Travelling Fit team for looking after me over the course of the week, fantastic time and cant wait to return in 2018. Certainly one for the Bucket List
08.01.2022 Fun morning down at the pool for the final swim session of the year with the best (If not most social)squad in town. Many thanks for all the efforts and hard work throughout the year. New term starts 10th Jan. Have a great Xmas and New Year. Cheers.
08.01.2022 Well done to the swim team who lifted their game to become Michelles Mermaids for the day at the Swim4Kids Charity event. Great event with everyone swimming anywhere between 2ks and 3.2k with the sausage sizzle going down a treat after, not to mention the beers with Ray Broderick and Bobby.

07.01.2022 Great way to start a new week with a swim and catching up with Travelling Fit Great Wall of China client and friend Raquel Holgado in recovery mode at Prince Alfred Pool after her superb Melbourne Marathon run last week.
06.01.2022 Huge congratulations to Neville Kurlansky on completing the Berlin Marathon overnight. A tough day at the office and wasnt the time he was after but huge respect for seeing it out and crossing that line at the 42k marker. Thats the full Big 6 set complete for Nev ( London, New York, Chicago, Boston, Tokyo and now Berlin), and NO he wont be retiring :) Well done mate. ***Reminder to all, Tuesday run group is back ON - Centennial Park starting 6.10am meeting at THE GATES ...ON THE CORNER OF ROBERTSON ROAD (outside the park where there is plenty of parking) Let me know if keen Cheers
05.01.2022 A top morning down at Camp Cove for the big Beautiful Bondi vs The Manly Hardcore crew Biathlon. Some fast times for the multiple swim/run legs. Congratulations to Angus Boyd 1st home with Renaud and POD 2nd & 3rd across the line. For the record Manly led by captain Marc Ashworth took out the Matchplay comp 6 points to 5. Well done to all. Cheers
05.01.2022 I make no secret of my love for the City to Surf 14k race to Bondi but yesterday it got the better of me as I battled all the way around to finish in 56 minutes, never felt good at anytime and the hills simply destroyed me. Still absolute belter of a day and it didnt stop some cracking times recorded from my team and training partners. Well done to all. Many thanks as well to good mates Ange & Enda Stankard for brekkie hosting and Tom Highnam for the marquee that kept us replenished throughout the afternoon - much appreciated. Me, well its back to the drawing board as all roads now lead to Berlin in September.
03.01.2022 Busy weekend with the Canberra Running Festival and Coogee Wedding Cake Island swim. Big turnout for both with some great results along the way. Congratulations to Wayne Kaplan on his 3.27 marathon(seen with his family), and all the girls who completed the 2.4k Island swim on what I hear was a stunning morning ? Next up SMH Half Marathon and Curl Curl Ocean swim
03.01.2022 OUT with the old, IN with the new. Perfect winters morning for a run around the park with the team for 2hrs covering 26ks. No sign of Jock boy Craig Wiseman, Jeet or Irish wasters Jacqueline OConnor & Enda Stankard but finally the North Shore boys decided to ditch the fumes of Pittwater Road and sample the delights of the East. Great to have Barts, Scotty OConner and the favourite Frenchman Jerome join us. Lord, we even had HuRT Legend David Kanser Kane knocking out 16ks (although Im sure he was only there for the post brekkie) Team shaping up well, with Gold Coast next on the list in 3 weeks.
02.01.2022 Performance of the day, week, month, year. Diane Tremain take a bow. From a lady who could barely get around Centennial Park (3.6k) a few years ago to hearing those 4 words - You are an Ironman. Huge congratulations on smashing the race in 13hr:51mins to prove that even with holding down a full time job and 2 children that with the right dedication anything is possible. Well done also to Plus Performance top man Gordon Campbell for his help on the bike leg as well as all the support you had on race day itself. Enjoy the recovery time and look forward to hearing what the next crazy goal will be over a well deserved beer or wine? Cheers
01.01.2022 Managed to get my ugly mug in todays Sunday Telegraph (online version only) thanks to client and good friend Pip Davis amazing story and her drive towards this years New York Marathon in November. For the full story check out the link. https://www.google.com.au//64b01f215159235aa008c1b0a703d7b... Cheers
01.01.2022 Malabar Ocean Swim. Proud coach moment having 14 members of the swim squad doing over 2.6ks ocean swim ( furthest for many of them). Great conditions and nice to support a worthy charity along the way. Congrats guys, super effort from everyone.
01.01.2022 And thats a wrap for another year. Last swim session and end of year drinks for the most social swim squad in town last night. Great bunch and a pleasure to train every Thursday morning at the pool, sadly non of them have a note between them when it comes to singing karaoke Merry Christmas and all the best for the New Year. Cheers
