24.01.2022 The bad news is time flies. The good news is youre the pilot. MICHAEL ALTSHULER White M.Ed., Jill R.. Classroom Management . Xulon Press. Kindle Edition.

24.01.2022 Todays Challenge: tell people how much you appreciate them. Be genuine!

22.01.2022 This guy is brilliant! "The basic protocols of Aboriginal society, like most societies, include respecting and hearing all points of view in a yarn. Narcissists demand this right, then refuse to allow other points of view on the grounds that any other opinion somehow infringes their freedom of speech or is offensive. They destroy the basic social contracts of reciprocity (which allow people to build a reputation of generosity based on sharing to ensure ongoing connectedness a...nd support), shattering these frameworks of harmony with a few words of nasty gossip. They apply double standards and break down systems of give and take until every member of a social group becomes isolated, lost in a Darwinian struggle for power and dwindling resources that destroys everything. Then they move on to another place, another group. Feel free to extrapolate this pattern globally and historically." Yunkaporta, Tyson. Sand Talk (pp. 31-32). The Text Publishing Company. Kindle Edition.

19.01.2022 When we put down ideas of what life should be like, we are free to wholeheartedly say yes to our life as it is. Brach, Tara. Radical Acceptance (p. 86). Ebury Publishing. Kindle Edition.

17.01.2022 "The monkeys solved the puzzles simply because they found it gratifying to solve puzzles. They enjoyed it. The joy of the task was its own reward." Drive, 2009, Daniel H. Pink, p. 3.

17.01.2022 Just started a new book for the business book club I am in. Loving it. "A combination of social fragmentation and lightning-fast communication today, however, means we have to deal with these crazy people alone, as individuals butting heads with narcissists in a lawless void, and they are thriving in this environment unchecked. Engaging with them alone is futilenever wrestle a pig, as the old saying goes; you both end up covered in shit, and the pig likes it. The fundamental rules of human interaction do not apply to them, although they weaponise those rules against everyone else." Yunkaporta, Tyson. Sand Talk (p. 31). The Text Publishing Company. Kindle Edition.

16.01.2022 Of course the converse is true also. How I treat others is a reflection of who I am, not who they are!

08.01.2022 I remember reading once the problem with judging where someone is at is you may not know where they have come from and what it took to get to where they are. Someone who is very successful but has had all the advantages in life, relatively, is not as successful as someone who is only moderately successful but has had no advantages and has to struggle every step of the way.

05.01.2022 Whoever wrote this poem is a genius.

05.01.2022 "Work is a blessing. Success can be hard work. It requires diligent perseverance. Winston Churchill said, Success consists of going from failure to failure without loss of enthusiasm" (Nicky Gumbel).

05.01.2022 When someone does something good, applaud! You will make two people happy. Samuel Goldwyn White M.Ed., Jill R.. Classroom Management . Xulon Press. Kindle Edition.
