15.01.2022 Little review AZL Alco RSD5 Brand new bodystyle from AZL! Great to see another offering on the market, first impression: looks nice, crisp details, engravings and paintjob, can't do much better there. Running smoothly and headlights are spot on in colour and intensity. But is it an Southern Pacific RSD5? Well, for most modellers it will be ok, for rivet counter not really. I understand the limitations manufacturer or in case of AZL brand have to accomodate all prototypical de...tails; SP's unique light arrangements are problematic, fully understood, that's something for kitbasher, also electric boxes and railing configurations need to limited, but some sloppy errors could be easily avoided. For example the body of road number 5505 and the paint scheme suggest a short-hood forward version of the loco, but the cab is acutally the long-hood forward configuration. So I might convert this loco into a closer prototypical example one day, if I'm really bored.... See more

These "high-end" models are made from metal etched parts, soldered together and painted, decaled and weathered according to customer requirements. Some models are available as kits too. Complete models and kits are subject to availability. The range will be extended.

07.01.2022 Big fellow: 86' Auto Boxcar. Always wanted some of those impressive cars, so here we go. This time it's a hybrid model: all etched metal parts apart from the Dreadnought ends, which are 3D printed to better show the prototypical shapes. This car series is not for sale yet, I need to do some re-design, most notable the coupler attachment, body-mount is only suitable from R300+ and long shank trucks are not available or there is no willingness to make them available to the public. So stay tuned...

04.01.2022 Not finished yet, but worth to show. 3D resin printed, I find it incredible that a relative inexpensive home printer can print such a quality, even rivets show! And always remember this is Z gauge and so car is only 70mm long
