20.01.2022 I NEVER REMEMBER WHAT I FORGET Now you may well wonder why I mention that . It was something an Irish gentleman said to me (Patricia)around 1980 . Ahhhh read further and it may become clear . Firstly one thing I keep forgetting is to mention that participants in our courses will receive CPE Points 7/ day . Some of you may be enthusiastic about the need to sign up for workshops and some not so much . ... Recently my own experience reminded me of some techniques that were gathering dust in my tool kit . So perhaps re - remembering is a good attitude to bring to our workshops . You will learn something new and something will be remembered .We will encourage you to reach into your own tool kit to remember what you may have forgotten . As mentioned in previous posts Beryl and I will limit our workshops to 16 participants . Which will allow for a lot support and aid remembering . Our aim also is to support therapists by travelling to locations where therapists can gather without the cost of too much travelling . If that applies to you and your area reach out and let us know . Amazing that in early November last year I had the thought I really miss teaching .Then in the way the Universe works so quickly in my life these days Beryl phoned me a few days later to ask me to join her on this adventure . So here we are on the cusp of beginning.As you can imagine that when an idea presents itself and a decision is made you dont wake up the next... morning and the training manuals are done . But that time is getting closer . Beryl and I are both committed therapists who believe in delivering the best possible outcomes for our clients .We bring that same philosophy to course preparation and workshops.With over 52 years of experience between us we feel confident we can deliver good outcomes for participants in our courses . 10.01.2022 Hi all , the red in these photos indicate areas of pain . The client may complain of a number sites of pain anywhere in these zones . During our workshop we will be covering the usual and unusual culprits of pain . I often think of Beryl and myself (Patricia) as the Golden Girls . As stated on our leaflet ,which has done the rounds by email ,we have over 50 years of combined experience as Remedial therapists. I (Patricia) hung up my Shingle in 1988 . I have seen many changes... in our industry since then ,both as a therapist and as a teacher. From suspicion to gaining credibility and now being considered mainstream . Beryl came into massage from a busy nursing career.Where her patient care and knowledge easily translated into treating her clients and researching best possible outcomes for each client . That is something we have in common to always look at each client,whether we have treated them countless times,with fresh eyes . We have never been therapists that treat by rote .Always working with the client to develop best treatment protocol for each treatment. As GOLDEN GIRLS we have a lot to share . 07.01.2022 Hi all yesterday was a GREAT NEWS day .Our training manual gained ATMS approval .That simply means that Therapists attending our courses will receive CPE points .Also participants can be assured that it is a course of substance. I (Patricia ) have been asked a question regarding price structure would there be a price for ATMS members and non ATMS members . Answer definitely NOT.As Beryl and I are both ATMS members we sought this approval from our registering Association . W...e WELCOME all Therapists to our courses regardless of Associations. While anticipating our September Workshop the time in between is a good time let you know one post at a time about us . Beryl and I combined have over 50 years of remedial massage between us . On our individual journeys we have evolved, researched, taught and developed advanced skills which we will share one workshop at a time . Ou...r approach is integrative that is ,across modalities. With emphasis on putting techniques together to create the best possible treatment plan and outcomes for your clients. With this in mind we will be limiting our workshops to 16 participants. All being well our September dates will go ahead (no restrictions)and in right timing we will let you know our other dates and focus of workshops.
