13.01.2022 TOP TIPS TO MAKE TIME FOR EXERCISE IN A BUSY LIFESTYLE Those who don’t make time for their health, will soon be forced to take time for disease . One of the biggest reasons people don’t work out is lack of time, and I totally get it. Between work, family, partners, kids, shopping, cooking, cleaning, sleep and everything else that demands our attention it can be hard to squeeze in a workout. However for the majority of us, if we sat down and wrote out everything we do in a... day we could definitely find an extra couple of hours throughout the week where we can get in some exercise. . In 2020, people lead busy lifestyles and whilst I believe it’s generally not a matter of not having time, but a matter of not making it a priority, most of us still don’t have an extra hour every day to go to the gym. So here are some of my top tips that I implement to FIND the time to exercise: get up 30 minutes earlier and go for a walk around the block doing a home workout while you’re watching Netflix parking 10 minutes away from work and walking going for a walk on your lunch break at work take the kids for a walk, play a game of football with them, take them to the park and do a workout there - not only do you get all the benefits of working out, but it sets an amazing example for your kids to prioritise their health too! going to the gym on your way to or way home from work to eliminate travel time utilise supersets in your workout to maximise your time in the gym do an express group exercise class These are just some of the ways you can manipulate your time better to ensure you’re making your health and fitness a priority, and it’s damn worth it because by taking time for yourself, you show up better for everyone else.

It’s harder to admit that we have control over our days because then we actually have to do something about it, but the truth is the choices you make on a daily basis whether conscious or unconscious, alter our life. It might be easier to sit back and blame others or our past for our current reality, but that’s not going to give us the power to take charge and create our dreams. 03.01.2022 TIPS FOR THE FESTIVE SEASON . Finally, this year is coming to an end and we have now arrived at what we like to refer to as the silly season. End of year work break ups, catch ups with friends, Christmas with the family, New Years, and more. Safe to say this is the time of year where we like to indulge in alllll the foods! However the Christmas period can be daunting for anyone who’s trying to achieve or maintain weight loss. I like to take a gentle, balanced approach to Ch...ristmas as I do with my diet and exercise in everyday life, so here are my top tips to enjoy Christmas, whilst still prioritising health and fitness: Don’t stop exercising! Continue to stick to your regular exercise routine as much as you can. Move because it’s good for your soul! Avoid over exercising before, during or after Christmas. You don’t have to ‘earn’ your food. You don’t have to spend hours in the gym to ‘burn off Chrissy lunch’ Don’t write off the entire month of December. Just because you might eat a couple of meals that are unhealthier than usual, doesn’t mean every single meal you eat for the month has to be. Have a serve of vegetables and a serve of protein every single meal! It’s about keeping up with those healthy habits even when you’re indulging. Lastly, no matter what you do this month just know that it’s okay - you’re human. It’s been a shit year. Enjoy your Christmas. Even if you go ‘off track’ or over your calories all month, you can get right back on track again once this is over. .
