Despite the fact that it supports fat loss, it also works to keep your body in a positive muscle protein balance We don’t want you to work super hard on your booty gains and then your body break down that hard earned muscle for energy because of your deficit!

We want to start by saying a HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to @donna1961au who has lost almost 60kg now! ... Donna has been consistent, focused and hard working! She has been doing PT twice a week as well as bootcamps at least 3 - 4 times a week for months now! Recently she has pushed herself even further and has begun to learn more about macros, calories and fuelling her body for weight loss and workouts! (Which has assisted her greatly in continuing to drop weight). Check out Donna above doing a 50kg Deadlift during PT! (Her fitness and strength has SKY ROCKETED over the past months!) Besides being an all round inspiration to many, Donna is such a loving, caring and kind person and we couldn’t be any more grateful to have her as a part of our beautiful community of ladies We have honestly lost track of how many times Donna has gone out of her way to make others feel loved and appreciated. She has brung Hannah and Wendy cold water from the shops on the way in (making sure the coaches stay hydrated!) as well as bringing in many delicious lunches, brung in delicious macro friendly muffins and recipes for the girls to enjoy, made bows for little Ruby and Cassies hair and given all the TWTG kids so much love and cuddles (just to name a few of the amazing things she has done!) We appreciate you so much Donna! Never stop being you TWTG xx

It is so great always seeing our ladies pushing each other to get out those last few Reps and lift the heavier weight!! This is Kristy and Jodie, they show up together every day for the 5am sesh! These ladies are increasing their weight before we even get a chance to tell them to!! ... If you struggle to stay on track, find someone to stay accountable to and vice versa! Choose someone who will always show up for you and ensure you do the same for them!

15.01.2022 This is a big one people need to understand when they ask how many calories should I be eating? How many calories you should be putting in to achieve different goals is VERY dependent on how many calories are going out (your TDEE). Even if two people had the exact same physique and metabolic requirements - if one is more active their calorie requirements will be completely different.... It’s scary because majority of the calories our body needs are actually just to fuel our basic body functions... and for majority of people that number is above 1000 calories. So if you think about someone who’s only eating 1200 calories... but they’re burning 500 calories at the gym, maybe 100 calories TEF and another 500 calories racing around all day... that is a GIANT deficit. (1000+500+500+100 = 2000 ... but they’re eating 1200 ) What happens when there is a deficit that big? The body down regulates those basic body functions... ever wonder why people who diet too hard lose their period? This down regulation is wildly unhealthy and can take a longggg time to fix So while the crash diet may seem like a good idea at the time... I’m telling you now it’s REALLY not. Calculating where your calories should be (and the macro split which also matters FYI) is the best part about having a good coach and exactly why generic meal plans off the internet or some random app are a terrible idea. @coach_amandajane is opening 2 spots on her coaching team next month and @emm_twtg has 1 coming up. 09.01.2022 When people say eat MORE to lose weight, generally they aren’t telling you to eat more calories. They are saying eat more HEALTHY food! A lot of the time nutrient dense food is often lower calorie for the equivalent amount of ‘junk’ food. Ie 100g of broccoli is obviously less calories than 100g of chocolate! ... You don’t have to eat small meals and a small amount of food to lose weight! If you’d like more help with this you can always dm us! See more

08.01.2022 So many people wonder why they aren’t losing weight even though they’re eating healthy. Healthy doesn’t always mean that you’re eating in a calorie deficit. The best way to know what you’re eating is to enter in your foods into a tracking app like myfitnesspal - otherwise it’s all just guess work.

For those who are new to TWTG this is me @emm_twtg and how far my transformation had come prior to pregnancy! (People say I don’t look like I’ve had a baby but if you look at photo of me pre pregnancy you can see that I do!) I am now working BACK to that after photo after growing my little man! This is not only a reminder to you but also myself of just what we can all achieve! ... A lot of you are setting goals for 2021 - and just because it’s a new year resolution doesn’t mean you can’t achieve it! BELIEVE IN YOURSELF PUT IN THE WORK YOU’VE GOT THIS

05.01.2022 REPOSTED @angel_prassler This actually blows me away Seemly exactly the same body weight but completely different body comp! First photo I’d dropped about 12kg that year but had never lifted a weight in my life and second photo is a little over 4 years on and have a completely different approach to my fitness now. I lift heavy and my cardio is pretty minimal though I still enjoy a good sweat session so I fit it into my routine. Calories in the first pic around 1200 and ...second pic just under 2000. I guess I’m sharing this to show a few things 1 - the scales mean pretty little. They are a great tool but you should never just rely on them to give the whole picture. Take photos and document your journey. 2 - Ladies don’t be scared of lifting weights. Lifting heavy is where the true body comp changes happen. 3 - If you want to tone you basically want to put on muscle this is difficult in a calorie deficit not impossible but your gains will be minimal. Don’t be scared to eat! 4 - The over all journey takes time and tbh it never really ends. If you want results make lasting changes that you can stick to and make a part of your everyday lifestyle rather then looking for quick fixes. These are just a few things I’ve learnt along my journey but I’m always learning and evolving as I go. If you’re just starting on your fitness journey remember to play the long game and give yourself time. Happy hump day lovelies xx See more
