For this reason we plant trees on our land in a bid to offset the carbon used by visitors who choose Tasmania for a holiday. Whether you fly or drive there is a considerable emissions cost to the planet. Here are a few examples of trees already planted, many from seeds collected by Brett in the parks and streets of Hobart.

01.01.2022 Though just as unpredictable as the Merry Dancers (aurora australis), bioluminescence probably occurs more frequently as the sea warms around Tasmania. Caused by the algae Noctiluca scintillans, it can flash on beaches from end to end, as here on Bruny Island.
