08.01.2022 Tuesday's Tips: Devils Ivy: The perfect house plant for beginners as it can survive the toughest of conditions and can be forgiving. It enjoys thorough watering infrequently. Water until water comes out from bottom of the pot, then don't water again until the soil dries. If you do over water the leaves will yellow ( the whole leaf) so in that case slow watering schedule. They like filtered light, not direct sunlight. Repot when the plant becomes rootbound. Only use a pot ...which a little bigger than the root system, if given too much room it can lead to root rot. The pic is my devil's ivy sitting on my upright freezer. They are very happy and just about ready for repotting. Disclaimer: I certainly am not a horticulturalist.. 02.01.2022 Its Tuesday Tips time.. Today I want to talk about one of my favourites .. Birds nest fern kokedama. Such a gorgeous easy care plant. Water around once a week in summer, less in winter. Or when kokedama is light to lift. Always water by soaking the moss ball. Never water from the top and in the middle of the plant. Birds nest love humidity so a spritz of water on the fronds regularly should help keep them happy. ... They love a well lit area without direct sunlight. A half strength liquid fertilizer soak once a month in summer will be helpful too. Disclaimer: I certainly am not a horticulturalist.. I am posting with results of my own trial and error as well as research. Hopeful that my findings may be helpful.

01.01.2022 My first attempts at hydro (growing plants in water rather than soil) ... looking forward to watching these beauties flourish..
