23.01.2022 We’re proudly supporting the community. Qcity Transit and Transborder Express are proud to be supporting, working with and promoting Dainere’s Rainbow Paediatric Brain Tumour Research Fund. Dainere’s Rainbow Brain Tumour Research Fund which was created after Dainere Anthoney aged 16 of Gungahlin was diagnosed with a brain tumour on 24 March 2009 and passed away on 24 June 2013. ... Dainere made it her aim to increase awareness of the horrific disease through publishing books about the illness including a children’s book about how a child should be welcomed back to school following treatment. The book has since been placed in every Government school library in the ACT. Dainere was also posthumously named as the Young Canberra Citizen of the Year in 2013. 100% of all funds raised go directly to Paediatric Brain Tumour Research at the Sydney Children’s Hospital Kids Cancer Centre in Sydney. The campaign will run indefinitely on the buses. You can see out all-over advertising bus running across Canberra and Queanbeyan regularly. 22.01.2022 As we get closer to the end of the 2020 school year, we would like to take this opportunity to remind all parents to label students belongings with their full name and contact number. This helps out our lost property department in returning your students possessions back to them. If you think you have left something on one of our buses, then give us a call on 62993722 and let us know. ... #transborder #lostproperty

22.01.2022 Tomorrow is Reconciliation Day and a public holiday in the ACT, which means Transborder Express services, 842 and 843, will not be operating. You can find our timetables by visiting transborder.com.au

22.01.2022 The history of buses serving Queanbeyan and the region goes back a long way. When the building of Canberra commenced in 1913, walking and horse drawn transport were still the main forms of transport and Queanbeyan was an established settlement adjacent to the new capital city. Transport has certainly come along way in over 100 years. To find out more about the history of buses in the region visit www.transborder.com.au/history... 16.01.2022 Transborder maintenance staff work hard to keep buses on the road. Every day, they work on over 110 buses, making sure the buses are clean and operational, and ensuring passengers had a pleasant (and safe!) bus riding experience. #transborder #safety #bus #mechanic

Movember aims to raise awareness for a number of men’s issues including prostate cancer, testicular cancer and men’s suicide.
