25.01.2022 On the weekend Miriam took on Bénévoles Ironman Vichy 70.3 in Central France. The French sure know how to put on an epic course, and this one was no different - the bike course alone had over 1000m of elevation gain over 92km, which is about 200m more than Ironman Australia has over 180km. Add 33 degree heat into the mix and you've got a hugely challenging event! Miriam's awesome dedication to training over several years meant she was well and truly up to the task, and she absolutely delivered with a PB swim and strong bike/run combo for an awesome 32nd in AG. Congrats Miriam - we're extremely proud of everything you've achieved, and you should be too!

22.01.2022 The annual Canberra Times Fun Run took over the streets of Canberra on Sunday. At the start line was Petra, ready to take on her first crack at the 10km distance. With a gutsy effort she absolutely smashed it, finishing in a great time of 69 mins! The confidence Petra has shown in recent months has been awesome to see, resulting in incredible progress and some standout race performances. Well done Petra - we're super proud of you! Sole Motive

21.01.2022 Wow, what a weekend (we're just catching our breath now)! We had athletes competing in Huskisson and Lake Crackenback, with some amazing results across the board. In Husky, Petra backed up from the Friday Ocean Swim for a strong and confident race in the Saturday Super Sprint taking the AG win. On Sunday Simon took on the Long Course as part of his Port Mac build and put together a clinical race to take 12th in his AG while collecting lots of useful data! Up in the mountains,... Rowan made an amazing return only six weeks after breaking his foot to take 3rd Elite at the Australian Cross Triathlon Championships, while in the Sprint Guy and Julian locked out an AG 1-2 also taking 2nd and 7th overall. This was also Julian's first off-road triathlon, and he smashed it! The Transcend community is made of normal people just like you, with busy lives outside sport and unique personal goals and values. These great results come not from secret sessions or magic potions, but from consistency, sensible decisions and great attitudes. We're super proud of all our athletes, and love sharing their journeys with you! from Crackenback by Kylie, Delly Carr, and a random dude with an ice axe on Mt K.

20.01.2022 Tweed Enduro is now a ITU World Qualifier for long course and aqua bike! https://tweedenduro.org The Prez has already signed up and they have a Covid refund plan and pay options. Did I mention you get an awesome bag?!

18.01.2022 Great interview with Rowan and some of the other great elites down at the Snowies Mountain Bike Festival happening right now!

17.01.2022 We're so incredibly proud of the performances of our athletes over the weekend at Ironman 70.3 Busselton, Ironman 70.3 Port Macquarie, and of course Ironman Australia. There were some highs and lows, but knowing how hard these folks have worked we've been absolutely humbled by their gutsy efforts. Below is a summary of results: Busselton 70.3 Despite strong winds and a choppy swim, Tony put in a solid performance in his first half Ironman to finish in 6:00:57. Unfortunately M...ichelle retired after the swim, which was by all accounts extremely rough. Port Macquarie 70.3 Jodie is one of the most consistent and skilled racers out there, and she didn't disappoint with a great 5:32:16 and 9th in AG on the tough Port Mac course. Ironman Australia Simon went into the race with lofty goals, however a chest infection a few weeks ago was still lingering, and his chest tightened up around halfway through the race. Simon battled on bravely to finish in an incredible 11:08:53 and 21st in AG, and while it wasn't the result he wanted nor deserved, it further demonstrated what a tough, gutsy racer Simon is. Lance went in with a 'sub 16:59' goal and easily beat that, coming in well over two hours under 14:54:34. Another box ticked! Congratulations to all who raced over the weekend, you should all be super proud - we certainly are!

17.01.2022 A huge congratulations to Petra who had one of her best races ever on a very challenging Swiss course to take 51st at the 2019 ITU World Triathlon Grand Final Lausanne! A cracking non-wetsuit swim, a strong bike ride despite a deflating tyre, and a tough run in hot conditions on a course littered with steep, pinchy climbs and technical corners. Well done Petra, what a great performance! Petra

15.01.2022 Transcend have a solid contingent of athletes racing the big Ironman events over the weekend. To kick things off - best of luck to this legend Tony taking on his first 70.3 in Busso tomorrow, and also Michelle, for whom this is definitely NOT her first time around an IM race course! Race hard folks, and stay classy!

13.01.2022 Continuing our big long course weekend, tomorrow is Ironman Australia - an extremely special event on the Australian tri calendar. Simon has given his preparation for IMOZ 110%, and his attitude and dedication have been second to none even during the toughest of weeks. Congratulations on all your hard work mate - we're so pumped to see you shine! Also toeing the line in the Ironman tomorrow will be Lance, who is chasing his Kona goal the hard way! Have a great day out there mate! Last but certainly not least, Jodie will be lining up in the Port Macquarie 70.3 to finish off a packed season, which included ITU Worlds, Ironman 70.3 Western Sydney and Ironman New Zealand. Congratulations on an amazing season Jodie - have a cracker out there tomorrow!

13.01.2022 Over the last three months Petra has been in the south of France, diligently training in some of the most spectacular terrain there is! Tomorrow she will line up on the pontoon for her second World Triathlon Championships at 2019 ITU World Triathlon Grand Final Lausanne! Petra has trained with great consistency and dedication, and is fully prepared for this hilly and technical Swiss course. Have an awesome race Petra - we are cheering for you back home in Australia!

12.01.2022 It's a great honour and privilege that our awesome partner Bereda Training chose an interview with Coach Guy for their very first episode of The Training Book! Guy had a fun chat with Dennis from Bereda about a range of topics, including how to be creative with training to address the demands of competition; individual athlete journeys; and finding your way as a new or developing athlete in endurance sports. Chronicling conversations with coaches, scientists, athletes and industry leaders across the World, The Training Book aims to cover all aspects of endurance sports training from every angle. It's a super exciting concept, and we're thrilled to be involved - thanks Dennis and all at Bereda Training!

09.01.2022 Last weekend we had more athletes out racing around the country, and bringing in some awesome results! At Hill End NSW, Jarrah started his National Orienteering League season with a bang taking second with the Canberra Cockatoos 2 team in the Australian Relay Championships before backing up with seventh elite in the Long event on the Sunday. Jarrah's form is coming along beautifully, and we're super excited to see how he goes at the next round in WA in a few weeks time. Meanw...hile, Tony took on his first 'middle distance' triathlon at the Forster Ultimate. Despite a recent illness which was still lingering on race day, Tony executed an excellent race and gained some valuable experience and confidence ahead of Busso 70.3 in a few weeks. Sensible decisions, progressive improvements, and life balance - that's what we're all about at Transcend Multisport. Fantastic work Jarrah and Tony! Orienteering NSW, Orienteering Australia and Tony Hill

08.01.2022 Too cold/wet/snowy to ride outside? This morning we hit the turbos instead of the road with a group trainer session, getting in some solid interval work helped along by a rockin' playlist. Even when poor weather strikes, there's always a way to get the training done! A huge thanks to Coach Gary (AKA DJ Bigtallgaz) for the great music selection, the , and for welcoming us into his snow-dusted shed.

08.01.2022 We're proud as punch of Jarrah who just finished his IOF World Orienteering Cup campaign in Guangdong, China. Jarrah held his own against the very best orienteers on the planet, posting solid results in the Middle, Sprint Relay and Sprint events in tricky, unusual terrain which saw many of the big favourites struggle. Congratulations Jarrah - time for a well-earned break before prep starts for next season! Michael Dowling and IOF live broadcast

07.01.2022 At Transcend Multisport we are extremely proud of all our athletes, who give their all in striving towards their goals - but none moreso than the amazing Jodie Barker. With two decades in the sport, Jodie is a legend at Ironman New Zealand and a legend generally, clocking up 27 Ironman finishes including seven (!!) trips to Kona. On Saturday she completed number 28, which will be her last for a while as she turns her focuses to shorter races. It was another ripper performance from one of the classiest age group triathletes in Australia. Congratulations Jodie - onwards and upwards!

07.01.2022 When you have lofty performance goals, you can't leave anything to chance. Over an iron distance event, the tiniest of setup changes can take many minutes off your bike split and leave your legs fresher to allow you to 'run for dough'. We had a great test session with Simon on the weekend, collecting lots of valuable data and identifying significant speed gains in areas which may not be immediately obvious.

07.01.2022 AUSTRALIAN CLUB MIXED TEAM RELAY CHAMPIONS! Congratulations to Kylie, Guy, Katrina and Simon who today took out 1st place in the inaugural Australian Club Mixed Team Relay Championship in the 157+ combined age category, also finishing 3rd overall! The team were pushed all the way by two very strong Andreoni Fabrizio Shock-Team outfits from Albury-Wodonga who rounded out the podium.

06.01.2022 Closer to home, yesterday we had our Ironman contingent taking on the Proximity Canberra Triathlon Festival Standard Distance, which was a duathlon due to swim cancellation. This suited Jodie and Simon to a T, allowing them to showcase their endurance at the back end to great effect. Another step in the preparation done and some useful learnings - awesome job!

06.01.2022 Transcend Multisport athletes performed exceptionally well at the Sri Chinmoy Off Road Duathlon on Sunday, one of Canberra's iconic multisport events. Katrina took a big win by over nine minutes in the Women's Long Course event, while in the Women's Short Course event Kylie narrowly missed the podium in a super competitive field where the race record was obliterated; her performance would have given her the win in last year's race. In the Men's Short Course race Guy took the win, while Tony finished a very respectable 8th in what was his first duathlon and first off road event. Congratulations to all who took part, it was an amazing day! by Sri Chinmoy Marathon Team, Triathlon ACT and Kylie

04.01.2022 Triathlon can be a selfish and time consuming pursuit at times, so it's important to retain some perspective. We're extremely lucky to have so many people in our Transcend community who serve our society, including fire fighters, defence force members, nurses, educators and environment protectors. These people share an incredible spirit of duty, humility, integrity and genuine leadership. This spirit was exemplified on Saturday in Sydney, where after months of preparation and... fundraising Simon and Tony took on the Firies Climb for Motor Neurone Disease. Their Capital Climbers team raised a phenomenal $25,271, with the event raising over $750k in much-needed funds for research into motor neurone disease, an insidious neurodegenerative disease with no known cure. To all those who serve, thank you. Simon
