25.01.2022 Our teams have celebrated the rich cultural heritage of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community during NAIDOC Week. We were privileged to host event...s across our business including a traditional smoking ceremony and performances from our First Nations employees at Sydney’s Barangaroo Wharf 1 and Balmain Shipyard. Our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander employees have been instrumental in shaping our Reconciliation Action Plan. It’s a plan that recognises we are still on a journey towards Reconciliation and that through respect, understanding and education we can achieve meaningful progress. Always was. Always will be.

22.01.2022 Over the past few weeks we have seen a tremendous amount of community spirit emerge from the devastation of the bushfires. We extend our deepest sympathies to the people who have been directly affected. It is clear that the impact of these fires will continue to be felt throughout the year. We will be making a donation of $30,000 to the Australian Red Cross to provide a contribution to the direct support that is needed now. Supporting our people during this time is of utmos...t importance to us and we will be providing special leave on full pay to the volunteer fire fighters in the team and additional leave and support to employees in our team who have been directly impacted by the bushfires. Locally our teams across our bus, light rail and ferry operations in Australia have been organising fundraising events to support key bushfire relief agencies and set up a group fundraising page at: https://australianbushfireappeal2020.gofundraise.com.au//T Serving and supporting the communities in which we work will always be part of the Transdev spirit.
