21.01.2022 A mouse was put at the top of a jar filled with grains. He was so happy to find so much food around him that no longer he felt the need to run around searching for food and now he could happily live his life. After a few days of enjoying the grains, he reached the bottom of the jar. Now he was trapped and he couldn't get out of it. He now has to solely depend upon someone to put grains in the same jar for him to survive.... He also may not get the grain of his choice and he cannot choose either. Here are a few lessons to learn from this: 1) Short term pleasures can lead to long-term traps (living on benefits/furlough/spoilt by parents perhaps?). 2) If things are coming easy and you are getting comfortable, you are getting trapped into dependency. 3) When you are not using your skills, you will lose more than your skills. You lose your CHOICES and FREEDOM. 4) Freedom does not come easy but can be lost very quickly. NOTHING comes easily in life and if it comes easily, maybe it is not worth it.. *Sourced from Tony Robbins page

12.01.2022 Have you ever found when you spend time with negative people you feel drained and afterwards? I like to call these people 'Energy Vampires'. However, when you spend time with positive people you feel light and uplifted after being in their company. If you want to have a positive life you need to surround yourself with positive people.... Not only that, you need to do things that make you feel good and bring joy to your life. People often ask 'How are you?' but they never ask 'Are you happy?' surely that's the more important question?! Take a look at your calendar. What are the things that you do regularly? Are there fun things that have been added to your schedule? Are there things in there that make you feel good? We make time to go to a doctor's appointment, to go to the dentist and get the big shop done. However, we don't schedule in fun?! That sounds crazy to me. Life is about living. Being around positive people will lift you up on the darkest of days. Being around negative people will bring you further down. We believe in order to live a positive life you have to take an active role in your health and fitness. Have you noticed that fitter people are happier in general? That is because exercise releases feel-good endorphins and when you feel good you exude positivity. Who in your inner circle is super positive? 05.01.2022 I’ll admit, I have quite the sweet tooth. Some recent favorites under 100 calories: 2 Clementines Frozen Greek Yogurt Bar Cup of Blueberries 4 Flavored marshmallows... Italian Ice Cream 1 Serving of Chocolate Chips Fun Size Candy bar Fruit Snack Pouch 2 Oreo Thins A Medium Crisp Apple Most people seem to think that craving something sweet is a diet death-sentence. But sometimes ya just want to eat something sweet, and I’m on board with that. You’re allowed to want sweets! When you have that craving, you have 2 options: you can fight it and let that craving build up more and more, or you can enjoy something sweet. For me, sometimes all I need is a taste of something sweet. I’m typically not craving an entire chocolate cake, and sometimes even just a handful of chocolate chips (or two) is exactly what I need to satisfy that craving. So, that’s exactly what I’m sharing here! I know that there are going to be two major criticisms here, so let’s get ahead of them. I fully understand that Oreos are not as healthy as apples. But that doesn’t mean they shouldn’t be allowed to be enjoyed. I have Oreos in my pantry to grab a couple every once in a while, and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. Also, I know that many people probably want more than one fun-size candy bar or 4 marshmallows. This isn’t about portion sizes. I just wanted to show you options under 100 calories that may very well satisfy your sweet tooth with a quick bite. If you struggle with stopping yourself from eating an entire package of Oreos, or you know a certain sweet like chocolate chips might be a trigger for you, then that’s not an option you want to stay stocked up with- try out some alternatives instead.
