I've learnt a lot about everything dental, such as oral hygiene, procedures and my time management has definitely improved.... 20.01.2022 Akiima had her Invisalign clear aligners fitted last week, right before she flew back to the U.S. We will be monitoring Akiima's treatment using Dental Monitoring. But, how does that work when she isn't in the country? The Invisalign clear aligner system involves a set of clear aligners - that slowly and gently move your teeth - which you change from week to week. Akiima will upload her weekly scans (photos) into the DM app and with Dr De Angelis's expertise and DM's artifici...al intelligence we will be able to tell Akiima to move onto her next clear aligner - all via the DM app on Akiima's phone. 13.01.2022 Dear Patients We have received an update from the Australian Dental Association and the SA Government, and have been advised by SA Health and the Australian Dental Association (SA) that Level 5 Dental Practice Restrictions will transition to level 1 Dental Practice Restriction (effective as of midnight Sunday 22nd November 2020). It means that we can now provide a full range of orthodontic treatment for our patients! We will be returning to normal practice hours: Monday to Fr...iday, 8am to 5pm. We will continue to follow our standard infection control measures to assure the safety of all our patients and staff. 11.01.2022 Last Friday we held a thank you get together for our fellow West Lakes Medical and Dental Centre tenants to thank them for their patience and support while we renovated our West Lakes clinic. Our new clinic is looking really great and is now officially open! Like our other clinics, at West Lakes we take our own scans and X-rays making it easier and more convenient for our patients.

05.01.2022 Following the latest directive from SA Health, anyone visiting a health care service must wear a single use mask to protect themselves, our staff and the community. From today, if you are visiting any of our clinics for an appointment or for another reason, you must be wearing a single use (disposable) mask that covers the nose and the mouth. We have received confirmation from SA Health that this doesn't include children under 12 years. We understand this advice has come at ...late notice so we will help as much as we can with masks, as much as our limited stocks will allow. 04.01.2022 We had an impressive turnout for our last Dental ED session and this Thursday is set to be as popular with Adelaide's own Dr Geofferey Heithersay talking about demystifying tooth resorption. Dr Geoffrey Heithersay has been a part time member of the School of Dentistry, the University of Adelaide since 1962 and is currently Clinical Professor in Endodontics. He practised as a Specialist Endodontist in Adelaide from1967- 2002 and continues to be actively involved in clinical re...search and teaching in the undergraduate and graduate programmes. A deep clinical interest in dental trauma and tooth resorption led to a concentration of research over the past 35 years into invasive cervical resorption and its management, and a thesis based on this research and associated endodontic studies was accepted for the senior Doctorate Degree of Dental Science of The University of Adelaide in 2001. Dr Geofferey Heithersay was made an Officer of the Order of Australia (AO) for endodontic education in 1998 and was the recipient of the Louis Grossman award of the American Association of Endodontists for research in 2000. In 2009 he received three awards for excellence in teaching; the Faculty of Health Sciences Executive Dean’s award, The Stephen Cole the Elder award and The University of Adelaide’s Vice Chancellor’s award.
