25.01.2022 I haven't lost my identity, I have gained a new one. One in which much of my old self still exists, just with a few adjustments. I love this article about the transition we make when we have a baby. I bet you will relate. Enjoy! https://www.mother.ly//i-didnt-just-have-a-baby-i-became-a

23.01.2022 Knowledge is power, but it is the practical knowledge of what YOU need to focus on that really changes the experience of having a baby. Learn what you need to do to work with birth, not against it. Tx
22.01.2022 In order to manage any behaviour, particularly a toddler, connecting is the first step. Connect and guide is a skill to develop, even when you want to run and hide in the toilet! These skills will be shared in the Parenting Village, starting on the 1st of July. We're only opening the Parenting Village membership for a limited time - the next village will open again in January 2022. To join:... https://tinyurl.com/psxjv63j See more
21.01.2022 We shared our birth stories this week in the Thriving for new mothers group. It was such a powerful session, each woman realising how different birth can be. Some births are less complicated, and some are bloody tough, some require help, some not so much. It isn’t the type of birth, or the details that matter, it is what gets invoked within the woman. Every birth experience has value, when you excavate for the wisdom inherent in such an intense and life changing experience. ...Every story was honoured and respected and ultimately marvelled at, when we see just how amazing women are. Sharing can be important for women, but in the right context - with the right people. Sending you all love - Tx http://www.mothering.com//why-dont-people-talk-about-the/ See more
20.01.2022 Fantastic Barbara Katz Rothman quote!
19.01.2022 A photo of my most recent thriving as a new mother's group. What a joy it is coming together! The connections, wisdom shared and laughter is so precious. This is very different to most mothers groups - as we focus on our own growth as women and mothers, more so than the babies. Join our new mums groups here: https://transformparenting.com.au/thriving-as-a-new-mum/
18.01.2022 Our ‘Keeping relaxed and excited about birth’ sessions has been a very valuable resource to many of my families. Which is why I've decided to continue doing them! 17.01.2022 I’ve talked alot about how other people sharing their birth stories can make their way into a woman's labour, particularly the negative ones. We are wired to remember the scary stories. Here’s a great article from Harvard Business School about why - in the context of the workplace. Some of you may find it interesting. https://hbr.org//the-neurochemistry-of-positive-conversati
17.01.2022 A lovely article on what a cesarean taught a new mum. A beautiful reflection on what is important to focus on. Enjoy! https://www.mother.ly//what-my-unplanned-c-section-taught-
15.01.2022 I’m always fascinated by the history of parenting, and parenting in different cultures. There’s a lot to be learnt by doing this. Whilst it is wonderful we have access to so much information, it can create a lot of noise for the mother and father, and cause them not to trust themselves, and cultivate their own confidence that comes from trial and error, and really being present with our children. This article can give us great insight by going back to basics. See what you think. It’s a long one, but well worth the read. Tx https://www.npr.org//the-best-mothers-day-gift-get-mom-out
15.01.2022 When children have their full-bodied and beautifully dramatic meltdowns, there is often a deeper purpose to their behaviour. The development of the will, the frustration that comes from learning something new, the overstimulation of our big world on their little world, are all deeper reasons why a child is behaving the way they do. Learning some fundamentals about how children develop, and troubleshooting challenges will be a part of our new Parenting Village, starting soon.
14.01.2022 Some great stuff on Sharn’s new platform. Check it out. Tx
14.01.2022 When walking into the mystery of birth, with visions of what is possible, the reality can be a long way from the vision. How do we reclaim what was lost? A few thoughts inspired by a particular birth story that moved me deeply - and helped me to see through the window of grief. https://transformparenting.com.au/reclaiming-what-was-lost/
14.01.2022 A great reminder - you are enough mama! http://ow.ly/O6Zk50xEVFj?
14.01.2022 Caregiving is not just a women's issue, it's a human issue. Recognising the value of caregiving, and being with our families. An interesting issue. Would love to hear your thoughts on this. Tx https://www.mother.ly//caregiving-is-not-just-a-womans-iss

08.01.2022 As a parent coach I love to watch the growth that comes from the demands our children make of us - to be able to deal with them! Whilst it starts out being about understanding our children better, and what they need - it very quickly moves into what changes we need to make, particularly on a subconscious level. We subconsciously learn how to parent, by the way we were parented. That can be good news, or not such good news - but it is where our beliefs and perceptions about li...fe are formed. Nothing like children to press your buttons to make you realise that you are growing with them. The therapy I use to support parents is called Rapid Transformational Therapy - very powerful and very life transforming. Making those connections between our own programming, and our parenting is where it starts. For more information go to; www.traceyandersonaskew.com See more

07.01.2022 The yearly rituals that bring love and meaning to our lives, and live long in the hearts and memories of our children. I hear my boys often talk about these moments in their childhood. Have a wonderful holiday period and sending you all so much love and laughter. Tx
06.01.2022 Once a new baby arrives, the next big step is for the new parents to develop confidence. The things that get in the way of that is the noise from well meaning friends and family who give advice about what the baby needs. The second big thing that will hinder the development of confidence is distractions - and of course, don't we have plenty of distractions these days. A nice little article on one man's journey to deal with his personal phone habits. Worth a read. https://www.nytimes.com//business/cell-phone-addiction.html
06.01.2022 The Birth Time documentary explores the struggles within the system that women find themselves birthing in. It challenges the rising rates of intervention. If you are interested in exploring the more political side of birth, then you might like to go. Love to you all, Tx https://tickets.demand.film/event/10367

05.01.2022 I sense this type of pressure to be the best parent we can be in most of my families - and it can be very draining. We always feel like we have to do more and be more to get it right. 02.01.2022 Absolutely spot on! A great paragraph written by Bunmi Laditan
02.01.2022 I love this time of the year where I get to look back and make some kind of assessment about the year. I try not to attach a label of good year/bad year but rather sense my own learning and self-discovery. 2020 has been a year of stepping fully into my own brand, and pulling together all of my experience and creating greater possibilities for my families. Even through ‘unprecedented’ circumstances. Thank you to you all for continuing to support my work. Have a wonderful holiday period and look forward to touching base in the new year. Enjoy those beautiful children and cherish the moments. Tx
02.01.2022 A rare moment when we are all together. Sams about to travel around Australia, Xavier's about to move to Wollongong, Jacob lives in town and we still have James at school. The nest is getting emptier and the appreciation of these beautiful sons gets greater. Enjoy all the moments, even the hard ones. Tx
02.01.2022 We share birth stories in the Thriving as a New Mum’s group. It is such a powerful session, each woman realising what a different ride birth will take you on. Every birth experience is honoured and it is incredibly therapeutic for everyone to have a voice. Sharing is important for women, but in the right context - with the right people. Sending you all love - Tx https://www.mothering.com//why-dont-people-talk-about-th/
02.01.2022 Over the last few months, Tracey has been conducting free zoom courses every Tuesday, to address the questions soon-to-be parents have about birth and tools to manage stress. You can now access Tracey’s full Transform Your Birth course online here: https://transform-p...arenting.mykajabi.com/offers/mZLZzKNF Or, as always, you can join the Keeping Relaxed and Excited about birth course here: https://traceyandersonaskew.as.me/Keeping-Relaxed-and-Excit

01.01.2022 A friendly reminder to all who are having doubts Via: Spinning Babies
01.01.2022 What first comes to mind when you hear the word ‘childbirth’? For many, it’s ‘pain’. Unfortunately, we often make childbirth about the pain and how to avoid it as much as we can. We need to create a different narrative and reality for all people when they go to give birth. Childbirth is about having and welcoming a new baby.... Our Transform Your Birth course teaches the tools necessary to transform your experience of birth into a positive and empowering one.
