25.01.2022 What a moment. Today we completed our 10-week Term 3 with 8 weeks of that delivered online due to COVID-19. Proud, inspired, exhausted are all words that come to mind. To the Transit Dance Community, we say this. WE DID IT! During this time our staff and contributors delivered an unbelievable program which consisted of 150 classes through ZOOM each week over 7 courses combing for over 1000 classes delivered through ZOOM this term alone. The resilience and dedication shown f...rom each and every soul within our community to get up each day and participate, challenge themselves and evolve as artists is nothing short of incredible. It has definitely been a rollercoaster ride at the best of times. We all have had our ups and downs; this is evident and honest. However, the true strength of our community to lift each other up and get us through this moment in time will mean so much for years to come. What we have learnt during this time has given us the tools to never be defeated, to look adversity in the face and say, we’ve got this. It has given us the ability to look within ourselves and see how we can better ourselves and make the change that a time like this deserves for our community and beyond. We have the power to make a great difference in this world, that is without a doubt. Together we are stronger. Together we can achieve the impossible. Together, we are Transit Dance. 12.01.2022 This morning our Artistic Director announced this week to be our 2020 week of unity and celebration. Paul Malek asked our student body what are some of their most memorable moments of our year. First response was our very first day in 2020, the feeling it brought and the excitement of meeting everyone and sharing their passion and love of dance. 04.01.2022 We are thrilled to announce that after being entered into a number of film festivals across the world, Transit Dance Company’s dance film ID was won best contemporary dance film at Silk Road International Film Festival and earned semi-finalist Paris Play Film Festival This film created in 2019 was directed and choreographed by Cass Mortimer Eipper and filmed in our original Transit Dance home in Kensington as we were relocating and now sits as a homage to our time in the ea...rly beginnings.
