21.01.2022 HOW LOW SHOUKD YOU GO FOR A SQUAT????? This is a tough and interesting question to answer, as the text book answer should be below parallel but in reality it’s not the case. If you or have a client that just can’t get past parallel as shown in the video, then that is classified as a squat (in my opinion). A squat in any form is still good for where that clients limitations are at. ... The main things to be aware of is making sure there is still progress in the depth of the squat and no momentum moving forward. If these things are consistently been monitored and adjusted then it’s still a squat. Obviously we wouldn’t put a heavy load or any weight in this clients bar until the right movement pattern is established but still doesn’t take away it being a squat. Just like any clients that can do 200kg back squat while going past parallel, there is always improvements we can make no matter where your at. So when your squatting, make sure your in control of the variables you can control and work in the variables you need help in. *this client gave me permission to use their video #squats #transitionpt

Food is fast becoming a point of fear, anxiety and stress due to foods being classified into diet foods, bad foods and process foods.... But foods should be and needs to be a place joy... We need to push away the titles we have given foods and take a step back and enjoy foods in a healthy normal way. One of the biggest reasons (I believe) that we are fighting the obesity crisis happening around the world is because we put titles on foods and therefore become fearful of them. Too often we look at carbs and think bread, pasta or anything processed but there are a lot of vegetables that are a carb source that we can enjoy and be full. 18.01.2022 BOOTCAMP 9:30AM TODAY Just keep moving even if its small steps!!!!!! One of the most common things we hear as trainers is Im just not motivated and dont know what to do... This is more common then you realise, and as trainers we too have those moments. There is 52 weeks in a year and its almost impossible to stay focus and motivated all year round with training and nutrition. We get it, we have those moments too. But how do we beat it and stay on track? Just keep stepping forward even if its small steps, because its still movement forward. And what you find is eventually you will become motivated again and mentally focused again. So proud and stoked for our online client Bethia, who really put everything she had into this challenge. Bethia’s results are not just physical but also mentally and more alert. Bethia deserves these as she kept moving forward no matter what was thrown at her. Well done Bethia more to come Beth’s Weightloss Challenge I’m 180cms tall, and started this challenge at 73.4kg. For most of my adult life, I’ve been somewhere between 63kg and 67kg, so I was feeling a bit uncomfortable in my clothes. I was also feeling tired. The weight gain happened when I went back to paid work this year. This job has a lot of sitting down, and I was used to running round after kids. Having an extra job also meant I didn’t have much time for cooking, so we all ate a lot of fast easy food. I started to feel lethargic and foggy in my head from eating carbs with no nutrients. And I was tired from getting in a pattern of not moving as much as I used too. I needed more energy, because I wanted to be playing with my kids after school, but I was feeling totally wrecked. I contacted Luke and he wrote me a cheap easy nutrition plan, and told me that weight loss mostly comes from what you put in your mouth, whereas exercise mostly tones you up. So I just focussed on nutrition at first. I had a cook-up day every Tuesday after my food shopping, and made myself enough food for the week, then followed the plan stringently. The first two weeks were great. Then I got sick of it and gave up. But the first two weeks had showed me how good it feels to be full of nutrients again. So I gave it another crack a few weeks later, and this time, only broke from the nutrition plan about 3 times over the first 5 weeks. This had massive results. I lost about a kilo a week, coming down to 68kg fast. So I lost 5.4kg in a little over 5 weeks. On the 6th week I was sick of again and stopped. I’m planning to do another round soon as I can only handle such strict rules for short bursts of time. I never consistently did the exercise - only the nutrition. I’m hoping to add some exercise in next time I attempt this! The results I’ve noticed are; my brain feels clearer and sharper, my energy starts coming back (only in the third week), I feel lighter and stronger, my clothes fit, and I can play with my kids without it costing my energy supply so badly.

There is such a fear with milk chocolate compared to dark chocolate to the point where people dont even classify them both as chocolate. One is chocolate and the other is raw keto healthy treat.... This is not correct Chocolate is chocolate and both are ok for you in portion size. Milk chocolate is actually better for you if your goal is to lose weight as its less calories than dark. And since its about calories in and calories out then the lesser option is more ideal. 09.01.2022 Its about getting from A to B and not where A starts A lot of the time people focus to much on where they are starting from before committing to the lifestyle change rather than the journey. In our opinion its all about the journey and not where you start, because it doesnt matter where you start as long as you start and keep pushing through. The start is just a starting point where you can look back on in the tomorrow and see how far you have come.... With all our clients and members our goal is simple, is to focus on getting them from A to B and see their results in a healthy and fast way. 02.01.2022 OFTEN WE LOOK AT CARBS THE WRONG WAY!!!!! Did you know that white potatoes are actually lower in calories than sweet potato? What how can that be??... The fitness and health industry in the past has given white potatoes and also white bread a bad wrap saying they are unhealthy and cause weight gain and obesity. But it’s not the food that causes fat gain, it’s actually what we do with it (adding butter to potatoes, sour cream/Mayo potato salads) that cause high calorie meals that assist with weight gain. If the goal was ONLY weight loss, then why are we not eating more potatoes that less in calories and more filling? Both sweet potatoes and white potatoes are healthy for you and good for you so why give them a bad wrap? Both will help with weight loss and healthy lifestyle as well. But remember this... WHITE POTATOES ARE LESS CALORIES THAN SWEET POTATO... So don’t choice one over the other because it’s healthier or better for you cos that’s not really correct. 02.01.2022 BOOTCAMP 9:30AM AND 5:30PM TODAY It may be good for you but how many calories are in it? There are a lot of new creative ideas and foods that are being made that are natural and healthy with low to no sugar in them.... But that doesnt mean it will help you lose weight... A lot of the time people get miss lead to believing because its raw/keto/no sugar/paleo foods like raw balls that they will help you lose weight. Its not true and most of the time its the complete opposite. Most of the time these foods have more calories than process foods because they are low carbs (1g if carb = 4cal) and high fat (1g of fat = 9cal). So take the raw ball which is normally filled with nuts which would make them high fat content, it would have higher calories than a fun size mars bar. And if we are trying to lose weight and its all about calories in and calories out then we need to look at what foods we are actually eating and how much calories are in them. Dont get me wrong, its good to take out sugar but be aware that it doesnt mean your eating less calories and wont help with weight loss.
