22.01.2022 At Trap n Shoot, We try and make the public aware of some of the dangers and diseases that Pigeons, Starlings and Indian Myna birds may have and carry and be contracted. DONT EVER SWEEP OR DISTURB BIRD DROPPINGS UNLESS ITS WITH HIGH PRESSURE WATER. Pigeon related disease No.1 - HISTOPLASMOSIS Histoplasmosis is a respiratory disease that may be fatal. It results from a fungus growing in dried bird droppings.... Pigeon related disease No.2 - CANDIDIASIS Candidiasis is a yeast or fungus infection spread by pigeons. The disease affects the skin, the mouth, the respiratory system, the intestines and the urogenital tract, especially the vagina. It is a growing problem for women, causing itching, pain and discharge. Pigeon related disease No.3 - CRYPTOCOCCOSIS Cryptococcosis is caused by yeast found in the intestinal tract of pigeons and starlings. The illness often begins as a pulmonary disease and may later affect the central nervous system. Since attics, cupolas, ledges, schools, offices, warehouses, mills, barns, park buildings, signs, etc. are typical roosting and nesting sites, the fungus is apt to found in these areas. Pigeon related disease No.4 - SALMONELLOSIS Salmonellosis often occurs as "food poisoning" and can be traced to pigeons, starlings and sparrows. The disease bacteria are found in bird droppings; dust from droppings can be sucked through ventilators and air conditioners, contaminating food and cooking surfaces in restaurants, homes and food processing plants. Pigeon related disease No.5 - E.COLI E.coli. Cattle carry E. coli 0157:H7. When birds peck on cow manure, the E. coli go right through the birds and the bird droppings can land on or in a food or water supply. 15.01.2022 A big thank you to Matt and the team at Trap n Shoot, we got in contact with them to take care of an out of control pidgeon problem at a local business I manage... in Taminda after they were highly recommended by another large business close by.couldnt recommend them enough, Matt and his colleague Josh were very professional through the handful of visits they have had to our premises, using different techniques including drop nets and traps and targeting the problem birds at different times to follow thier habbits/patterns, they are completely licensed and very safety conscious and locked down our entire site with signage on every entrance, we are thrilled with the lack of nest and more importantly all the mess and costly damage to our cars and property and with around 40 birds disposed of on thier first visit its no wonder, Thanks again Matt Zell See more

08.01.2022 Another reason not to use 1080. A bullet is a much quicker and humane way

06.01.2022 Out taking care of a few feral cats, foxes and rabbits. We have to protect our flora and fauna.

06.01.2022 A perfect example of why foxes need to be culled.

05.01.2022 Huge Thanks to Warren at Millenium Signs. Great signs, very quick to have them ready for us. https://www.facebook.com/Millenium-Signs-1487031711514740/?fref=ts

04.01.2022 Although some people love cats, they need to understand that cats like this are born in the bush and have a devastating effect on the native wildlife. Cats are an amazing animal as they can adapt to almost any environment wet, dry, hot or cold this is why numbers must be controlled to try and reduce the impact to rare native species in Australia that have been decimated by cats and Foxs.

01.01.2022 With things starting to swing into gear, we have pigeons. Indian myna birds. Starlings and sparrows all in our sights. Just crossing Ts and dotting the Is finalizing all licenses and permits and waiting for the them to arrive in the mail.
