21.01.2022 Upgrading of South side of Traralgon old train station. The Old Traralgon Railway Station where we have been for 23 years is being upgraded to a working platform again. Vic track have asked us to move for the 2 years it will take to upgrade the station and platform. With the help of Latrobe council we are finding another premises to go to for that time, central to the town.We hope we will be able to go back? The old station is over 100 years old and has lots of ...history, such as the Queen visiting the station in 1954. Call down and have a look through the building at the pressed tin ceiling and our history board. There will be a story in the Express Monday. We still do not know what will become of the building. Will this be another Traralgon Icon that gets pulled down or changed before any one knows? Vic track are keeping all info close to their chests. The old train station will be open 4 days a week except Wed from 10 am and we will close Friday 20th and will hopefully still be in it for a while in Feb and March '20. 08.01.2022 The time is drawing near for the Traralgon Art Group to shift from their home of 23 years. We loved our old railway station position, but Vtrack/vline will be updating the south side building and platform in the next 2 years starting early 2021. We may be able to come back but it is a long way off. We are excited though that we have a new premises to go to at Connecting to Australia in Dunbar Road Traralgon. Everything will be all ready for classes to resume in Feb at the Dunbar road Premises. 2021 a new era, new plans, new classes including plein air painting.
