24.01.2022 Nothing is more precious than those we love. The Gippsland Memorial Parkland is a beautiful location where families can visit and be at peace, surrounded by gardens, birds and memories of loved ones now at rest. Many folk have memorials of friends and family to visit and leave tributes. Staff at the park happily and often assist in finding a loved one's location within the vast green 15 acres. if you need help to find a member of your family or a friend please do not hesitate to ask at the office for some help or you can privately check out our website gippslandmemorialpark.com. If you know of any unmarked locations of family or friends or have any photos of the cemetery from the past please share with us so we can assist others who need to visit a memorial and remember their most precious love.

21.01.2022 We have located the sites of 90 WW1 servicemen and women at Gippsland Memorial Park, why not come out on Saturday morning and help us acknowledge and honour them. 11.00 on the 7th.

17.01.2022 OUR FUNCTION ROOM "THE OAK ROOM" WAS OFFICIALLY OPENED ON THE 20TH OF APRIL 2016.....A great day with many people attending. Russel Northe and the Cemetery Trust were very happy with the support and feedback, their effort ensured that all who visited had a great day. The next event is the Gippsland Cemeteries Networking Group Trade day on the 5th of April in the beautiful cemetery grounds of Traralgon :)

17.01.2022 Traralgon cemetery has a new function room for the families to use for their after service wakes....check it out! great to have refreshments available from some great caterers :)

15.01.2022 Mothers Day is this coming Sunday. Remember that flowers are only cleared away when they are beyond there prime. In the past they were removed every 2nd Thursday but that has not been the case for several years now. So rest assured if you delicately place a floral memento on the memorial of a loved one that it will remain to ensure the lovely tribute graces their memories. We are all hoping for good weather and a lovely day for all Mums.

10.01.2022 UNVEILING THE WEST HEADSTONES at TRARALGON Beautiful and moving ceremony at Gippsland Memorial Park Traralgon this morning. In lovely sunshine, despite all the... dire warnings. The Gippsland Memorial Park, Traralgon Historical Society, Girl Guides and the Farmer family were joined by Harriet Shing MP, Melina Bath and Dan Clancey - Latrobe City Council to unveil the two new headstones to Eva West MBE, Vera West and Florence West. Restoration was financed by the Barry Farmer Reserve Fund. A textbook example of recognition of two generations of a family that was instrumental in the progress of Traralgon and the wider area.

07.01.2022 Open to the public - rsvp can be via facebook, but we do need to know numbers. Please share amongst your families and networks

04.01.2022 This weekend, come and join us.

04.01.2022 What's happening at the cemetery....lots... Last few weeks- the new natural burial ground was prepared and mapped...the beautiful old yellow box gum stands majestically on the crest marking the lovely cool green glade. Today- the barrier fence is being removed from the new Eastern Sunrise section of the cemetery. The roadway will be soon complete!... On the 20th of March at 2pm- the Official Opening Ceremony and Plaque Reveal for the great new renovations including the new Oak Function Room will take place. We would like to thank all those involved in the build process.....it was a pleasure working with you all. On the 5th of April- the cemetery will be buzzing with activity for the first Gippsland Cemeteries Trade Show between 10 and 3pm. Many wonderful stall holders and demonstrations will dot the fields of the cemetery for this special day. Cheers

03.01.2022 Gippsland Memorial Park hosted the first Gippsland Cemeteries Networking Group trade day at the cemetery on the 5th of April. The day was a great success and we thank all those who attended be they traders or visitors, staff were very busy ensuring the day went smoothly. Staff have also been very busy mapping the new Sunrise Burial Grounds (eastern expansion of the existing cemetery), planting the new seasons bulbs and hosting several wakes in our new Oak Function Room. We hope to have many folks visit over the next few weeks as we observe ANZAC day in the community and enjoy a day of celebration with our beautiful mothers on Mother's Day in May. The many colourful flowers placed for lost loved ones is a joy to see in our gardens each year as it brings comfort to many at what can be a very sad time.
