22.01.2022 Fire advice For all those affected by the fire(s) currently burning in the #Gippsland region (including the Grantville fire) the Traralgon Greyhound Racing Club has opened its kennels and these are available for greyhounds to be housed overnight and/ or over the weekend if necessary. Owners need to stay with their dogs while at the track.

19.01.2022 As the manager of the Traralgon Greyhound Club, I would like to thank all those offering assistance. At this time all efforts are being coordinated through Olivia, who is an absolute superstar of our club and the industry. As a club I want to reassure those effected trainers that our club will do all that is possible to assist. I have been in contact with Alan Clayton and Grv Senior Executive, who have confirmed their support. I wish to give my best wishes and thoughts to those caused to take action. That they and their greyhounds are safe. Events such as this certainly put things into perspective. Regards Steven Clarke Club Manager Traralgon.
19.01.2022 As the Manager of the Traralgon Greyhound Racing Club, I wish to inform all interested parties that after much consultation with Grv, the track will be scheduled to recommence racing on the 6th of December, 2018. The situation regarding the necessary installation of drainage at our venue was such that suitable contractors were either unwilling or unable to do the works within the specified time. As such, I asked the clubs committee to assist. The result can be seen in th...e picture below. All track staff and committee have dispelled their frustrations through hard work, getting the job done so participants can go about their business of racing greyhounds. I would personally like to thank all of them for their hard work and support, without which, we would not be returning to racing in December. I think, the next time you see them at the club, instead of venting your frustrations toeards them, you should buy them a beer and say thank you. I again apologise for the inconvenience this closure has caused but be assured, as a club, we are doing all that is within our power to fix it withinin the shortest time possible. Regards Steven Clarke Manager Traralgon Greyhound Club

19.01.2022 Hey guys just a quick update from the staff and committee at Traralgon. The track construction has just passed the half way mark. Things continue to progress well, with Ryan and the guys from Sure constructions doing a fantastic job. I thought it would be an opportune time to give you a quick look at the clubs new deck project, due to start in June. Our president Don Haley and the committee thought it would be a good idea to spruce up the place whilst we were closed. We can’t wait to see everybody back on track, sitting on the deck with a cold beverage and backing a winner. Hope you like it. Stay tuned we’ve got a few more surprises up our sleeves. Go Traralgon

14.01.2022 As the Manager of the Traralgon Greyhound Racing Club, I would like to firstly apologise for any inconvenience caused to participants as a result of the cancellation of our race meeting, dated 25/10/2018. To clarify, after discussions with Grv Senior Track Specialist, the attending Stewards and Traralgon Senior Track staff, the race meeting was cancelled due to the track surface being deemed unsafe for racing.... The condition of the track and subsequent cancellation of the meeting was not as a direct result of harrowing or Track preparations. The exact cause of the underlying problem associated with the track is being investigated and treated as a matter of urgency. At this time our race meeting on Monday will be transferred to another venue to enable the ongoing investigation into the cause of the problem. Further inconvenience may be necessary. To reiterate, criticism of Track staff into todays cancellation is unwarranted and factually incorrect. Both our staff and Grv are working very hard to provide a safe race surface for greyhounds to race. Steven Clarke Manager Traralgon Greyhounds
