18.01.2022 The freezing weather in Victoria, Australia, has got me thinking again, this time about a beautiful tiny island in the Caribbean, Curaçao (somewhere I'd rather be). Owned by the Dutch (lucky bastards) it's a tropical paradise famous for the invention of the delicious drink Blue Curaçao, which when consumed in such a stunning location is doubly delicious!! I've never come across an ocean as blue as the waters around this island, it is a truly spectacular colour, no wonder they dyed their famous drink to match it! Oh and the best ever Air BnB award goes to the hurricane bunker I stayed in, such an awesome & unique experience.
15.01.2022 Banff, Canada, November 2017. Canada was an absolutely incredible experience for me, never before had I been in temperatures so freezing, an average of -30 degrees Celsius everyday. Banff was a place where -30 and beyond didn't seem to be a problem, in fact Banff thrived in these temperatures, and as I found out so did I, I loved the challenge of getting dressed appropriately in the morning, I learned what layering was all about and how damn important it is. The surrounding ...mountains were jaw dropping beautiful, the hospitality warm and kind and the winter activities plentiful and amazing. The idea of Snowshoeing to me was something completely foreign but also completely fun and thrilling, memories of snowshoe hiking, particularly within such a stunning location, is something I think about all of the time. Banff is a nature lovers dream, it is gifted with incredible natural beauty around every corner......or mountain. See more
14.01.2022 With the current Arctic blast of weather currently smashing Victoria, Australia, it got me thinking about my favorite place on Earth, Iceland. Nowhere, except perhaps Patagonia, has held my interest so intensely, I dream about it daily! A country that is absolutely blessed with Mother Nature's sublime creations, a country where you constantly can't believe what you're seeing, it is full to the brim of natural wonders. It is raw, powerful, astonishing, intriguing and beautiful beyond belief.
09.01.2022 These were my thoughts while visiting Cuba in 2016. After being interviewed by a Cuban TV news service about the Cuban Government, and after talking to many frustrated locals, it´s got me thinking. Cuba, you can not deny people to gain a passport simply because you are scared your people won´t return home, fuck if I lived in your country and travelled abroad I wouldn´t return either, as there is nothing, besides family and friends, to return for. You need to provide reasons f...or people to return, make them excited, fill them with positivity..... your fucked up dictatorship doesn´t fly anymore. Secondly, travel has taught me more than anything ever has, it has taught me about the world, what is wrong and what is right, it has inspired and excited me, just think if you let your people travel then these very people may return to your country, educated, insightful and with some brilliant ideas on improving Cuba. Let your people be free and you will be rewarded. See more
