24.01.2022 I'm officially on my 8th day of being curled up at home sick with fatigue, migraines and stomach issues (photo of where I'd rather be) and am slowly losing my mind. Unfortunately it does look like I'll have to cancel tomorrow and will hopefully aim to ease back in with a half day on Wednesday if my stomach allows. Test results should be in by Thursday so we can hopefully figure out what the culprit is and get on top of it.... Thanks again and again for your patience!!!

20.01.2022 Now that we're approaching the end of the weirdest year ever and entering what I can fairly safely say is the next phase of a lot of people's lives, I've got a very cool announcement. As you all know, I'm slowing down with hair and pursuing a different direction in 2021. Originally this was purely salon marketing based. And yes, I'm still doing some work with that.... However, I've been checking the Zoos Victoria website every month or two for as long as I can remember and dreaming of driving the Safari Bus, working on conservation projects and educating kids about animals and the environment. But I honestly never thought I'd ever have the qualifications required, getting a job at a zoo seemed impossible, and my hairdressing career was too good to leave. 7 weeks ago I saw an ad and finally applied for my dream job at Werribee Open Range Zoo. I received the official "welcome to the team" call for the zoo yesterday!!! While working through the recruitment process, I was also accepted at Deakin to study a Bachelor of Zoology & Animal Science next year. Don't worry, I'm still sticking to the plan of working in the salon for cuts only, but cannot wait to begin this new journey next year! The moral of the story is, if there's something you REALLY want to do, go for it. You never know, you might surprise yourself and end up with the opportunity of a lifetime. I can't wait to see you all either in the salon or on the savanna at the zoo next year! (Photo of how pumped I was about getting my truck licence yesterday for the job )

20.01.2022 I ONLY HAVE 4 WEEKS LEFT OF BEING A COLOURIST... ...unless you have a Gift Voucher for next year! Because of limited availability next year, I've capped the numbers and only have 11 vouchers remaining. You can purchase them for any amount, or a specific service. And they are valid for colours until June 30th next year.... Please send me a message if you would like to purchase one. CHRISTMAS APPOINTMENTS At the moment there isn't many times remaining. However, next week I will be opening up a lot more days for December. So if you need an appointment, please send through your availability and I'll put you on the waiting list. Anyone on the list will have priority for cancellations and these new days and times before I open them up to online bookings. JANUARY I will be taking January off to spend time with my daughter and work on the new business. Bookings will reopen online for February for haircuts only as soon as I know my availability for next year around study and other work commitments. Any Gift Voucher colour clients can message for appointments.

18.01.2022 A second trip to the doctor today has officially confirmed quite severe food poisoning. I'm now on my 6th day, still unable to eat, stay standing or leave the house for long periods. I've been loaded up with everything I need, but still have to take a few more days to rest, recover and get some strength back.... Unfortunately this means I'll have to cancel tomorrow's clients in the salon and reschedule to next week. My sincerest apologies!!!! This week has been truly awful and frustrating. I hope to be back in action by Monday.

18.01.2022 I didn't manage to get a shot of the whole crew, but these gals (+ Nat) are the shit! Next year I highly recommend every single one of them for my clients who wish to keep coming to Dannyboy. Give them a follow and check out their beautiful work! ... 17.01.2022 Saturday the 19th of December is my last day as a colourist. So the next 7 weeks are getting hectic leading up to Christmas!!! Please book online when possible as it is a LOT quicker than playing messenger tag with me. If you can't find an appointment on a day that suits, send a message with your preferred days and times and I'll put you on the cancellation list.... At this stage all of the rest of this month, most of November and half of December is booked out. As for 2021... I will be taking a month off in January to start working on the new business and will return in February on Tuesdays and the occasional Monday for haircuts and styling ONLY. See you all really soon for that Christmas appointment!!!

17.01.2022 Great news!!! I'm finally on the mend... Albeit very slowly. Unfortunately I'm going to have to still take it easy over the next couple of weeks while recovering and have adequate rest time.... I'll open up Mondays and a few extra times here and there to fit everyone in who was cancelled, however I will have to be careful with late nights and my usual habit of overbooking my days... Apparently I need breaks. Let me know what your availability is. If you don't mind pushing your appointment out by a few weeks to make the rescheduling process a little easier, let me know and I'll offer you a discount or a complimentary treatment. 12.01.2022 Two days left in the salon for 2021 and then this little chickadee and I are having some much needed family time. At this stage I'm fully booked, but things do sometimes open up, so reach out if you would like to be added to the cancellation list for Monday. Also I have ONE x Gift Voucher left for next year that will allow you to book colours with me. You can set it for a set amount so it lasts over a couple of appointments, or for a particular service.... PM to purchase. At this stage I'm not taking bookings for next year until I find out my hours for the zoo and uni. As soon as I have more information though, I'll make the announcement and open up online bookings. 07.01.2022 EXTRA HOURS, GIFT VOUCHERS & RETIREMENT I'm opening extra days, limited numbers of gift vouchers are available for next year (even for colours after I finish colouring) and an update on how things will work in 2021 for bookings. ---------------------------... EXTRA HOURS To fit more clients in between now and Christmas, I'm opening up some Monday afternoons and evenings by appointment only! Yaaaaayyyyy!!! - 23rd of November - 7th of December - 21st of December Please send me a message if you would like to book any of these dates. A deposit will be required for all bookings for November and December, as it's getting to that crazy time of year. (I also have a few appointments remaining for cuts only on Saturdays.) ------------------------------ GIFT VOUCHERS Gift Vouchers are available as Christmas presents for a value amount or specific services. However, there are limited numbers due to my reduced availability next year. They can be used for colours until the end of June 2021, and all other services until the end of next year. PM to purchase and I can mail them to you, pop them on an account or you can pick them up from the salon. ------------------------------------ RETIREMENT & 2021 As you would all know by now, next year I'm having a change of directions, cutting hours right back to one day a week and hanging up the colouring gloves with the exception of Gift Voucher clients. VIP memberships will still be available for haircuts and blow waves. At this stage I will be blocking out online bookings for next year, then opening them back up at the end of December for January with the days and services that are available so that no one accidentally books in for something that won't be on offer.
