19.01.2022 Tues 8th Oct. Up the East Yorke Peninsula coastline to Snowtown S.A. Headed north from Edithburgh through some small towns past the pink salt lake at Lochiel then a drive thru Snowtown for an o/n stay at lovely Hummocks Station - an old sheep station from the mid 1800s. The current owners are 6th generation of the Michael family over @ 150yrs.

14.01.2022 Tues 29th - Thurs 31st Oct Stawell - Vic. And now into Victoria. First stop at a nice fresh CP in Stawell. Bit of local sightseeing and a drive up to the part of the Grampians.

14.01.2022 Mon 28th Oct Last day/night in S.A. - the weather had been quite harsh for us at times - wind, rain, cold, did I mention WIND!!! (Apparently that's what you get this time of year!) On our journey today, (a pleasant blue sky day), we crossed over the Murray River, lunch stop at Tailem Bend, then an overnight stay at Keith Showground. Bye bye South Aust. - we may return again ...

12.01.2022 Sat 12th - Tues 15th Oct. Barossa Valley S.A. Down the road a bit & over a few hills we find ourselves at grassy Nuriootpa Tourist CP for a few days. A couple more wine tastings enjoyed

08.01.2022 Sat 9th - Tues 12th Nov. NSW South Coast. 5 months on the road now!!! After a slight detour to Mallacoota for a look, we had a short drive to Merimbula on the NSW South Coast. Very windy (again) on the hill of the CP! Did a little bit of sightseeing, whale watching and met up with caravan friends Flip & Peter at their eventual retirement beach house in the local area.

06.01.2022 Dinner out for a change with Clare Sonter.

05.01.2022 Sat 23rd - Wed 27th Nov Tamworth/Bingara NSW. Heading further north for a few days at Tamworth Paceway and catchup with caravan friends Ellie & Steve Horton. R & R this time (we've been before) - no need to play tourist. Then onto Bingara Common camp on the Gwydir River for a few relaxing days. Huge dust & rain storm whilst there but no drought breaker

03.01.2022 Mon 18th - Fri 22nd Nov. Heading north - Mid NSW. 200km north of Canberra we set up beside the Lachlan River at Farleigh Reserve near Cowra. Had a wonderful night with Alison & Peter Huth (WUDU editor/photographer) . Visited the Japanese Gardens then another 200km drive to Ponto Falls Reserve on the Macquarie River between Wellington & Dubbo. Hot weather this whole week!!!

03.01.2022 Wed 13th - Sun 17th Nov. Canberra - Part 1. Another change to our itinerary forced by the disastrous fires in the mid northern NSW coastal areas . We headed northwest from the South Coast over Brown Mtn, thru Cooma to visit Canberra, camping in the frontyard of friends Flip & Peter - many thanks at short notice. Could spend weeks in the Nation's Capital - so much to see! The Australian War Memorial definitely a must and highlight.

03.01.2022 Wed 13th - Sun 17th Nov. Canberra - Part 2. More driving (on many of Canberra's circular roads!!!) & sightseeing around town ... including the Info Centre/National Capital Building, Parliament House tour, High Commissions/Embassies, Mt Ainslie and the National Arboretum. Still so much to see in the nation's capital but will have to be on another trip.

03.01.2022 Fri 1st - Fri 8th Nov. Bit more of Victoria. From Stawell we drove straight to Geelong Showgrounds for a few days. Arrived in 34 heat + storm! Then we hardly saw the sun for days!!! That's Victoria??? Did some drives in the gloomy, cold & windy weather to Port Arlington, Queenscliffe, & small part of the GOR from Lorne to Torquay. Met up for dinner with friends Sharon & Mark (but no pics - too much talking/laughing ). Then drove thru middle of Melbourne M1 on Cup Day ...... local public holiday so traffic not too bad A few cold gloomy days at Lakes Entrance - need to return in better weather! Couple of free camps thrown in at Rosedale & Genoa One day will return & see more of this state. See more
