In fact, a recent national survey of travel agents found just one in 10 will survive beyond April 1 without targeted assistance or an extension of the federal government’s JobKeeper scheme.... The travel industry is now urgently calling on the Australian Government to extend a rescue package from April 1, 2021, until 2022 and we need your help. As an industry, we are extremely grateful for the government support to date; however, we must highlight the critical nature of our concerns to ensure support continues well into 2022 as other industries start to recover from the impacts of COVID.
