15.01.2022 I've had to deliver some pretty awful news to people this year - from cancellations of travel dreams to financial losses and everything in between. I've had sleepless nights stressing about how to deliver bad news, how to protect my business and how to assist people make the right decisions. Here we are in December and it's still ongoing. BUT YESTERDAY I GOT TO DELIVER SOME AMAZING NEWS!!!! I had a lovely young family who should have been flying to Europe and on to Lapland.... They were spending Christmas meeting Santa Claus, meeting all the reindeer, sledding through the snow - you can picture the magic. And of course it's cancelled for another year. Yesterday I got to deliver some fab news to them - my supplier has invited them to an exclusive small group Zoom call with THE REAL SANTA IN FINLAND just before Christmas Eve! The children get to ask Santa a question during the session and it's recorded for them to watch afterwards. What an amazing way for them to make up for the fact they didn't get to meet Santa face to face this year! (And yes I may have just cried a little bit!! ) https://vimeo.com/156207980

07.01.2022 What do you do if you can't fly to Europe for Christmas? Visit a miniature Christmas in Europe instead! This gorgeous "Monarail" is on at Mona this weekend and is just magical! I walked round twice and would have happily done a third lap but, family. It was really quiet so pop on the Mona website, book a free ticket and head along. Plus they have some Mona style family friendly gifts and food/drinks.

04.01.2022 Hooray! Well done ANZ for taking Tassie on! Who's up for a trip to NZ?

03.01.2022 Some useful info if you have been wondering about sailing the seven seas!

02.01.2022 Today is a very sad day for travel in Australia with so many agencies being forced to close their doors. With JobKeeper now over many are having to say good bye to employees with years of experience and shut their doors. No continued government support whilst the international borders stay closed, snap domestic border closures with last minute cancellations (and still handing back income for bookings made in 2019) does not make for the ability to trade. . I continue to rema...in open to chase refunds and postpone holiday arrangements whilst doing casual hours elsewhere (to earn enough to cover the ever increasing dance lessons for my daughter)! In the meantime I AM here to help make new bookings and really value your support. Please remember me when you are looking at that 7 day walking tour through the Outback online, booking that exciting Barrier Reef Cruise, that splurgey trip somewhere because you are desperate to get away. It may pay me commission to look after the booking for you (at no extra cost to you), it may cover my ongoing monthly fees to stay open, to ultimately be here in the future to help you. . Having not earnt any income from travel since January 2020 your support is vital now more than ever. Thank you to everyone for thinking of me during this time - I'll never forget your kindness. But for today I'm sad - sad for all that we have lost in our industry today. See more
