21.01.2022 Some good news!! The Northern Territory Government has confirmed that regional Victorians will be allowed to fly from Melbourne to the NT without having to quarantine. Residents living in regional Victoria will be allowed to travel to Melbourne to fly from Tullamarine into the Territory provided they do not stop in Covid-19 Melbourne hotspots on the way.... Metropolitan Melbourne, the Mitchell Shire, Greater Geelong, the Macedon Ranges and East Gippsland will remain hotspot areas. From November 2, people arriving from the majority of Victoria's regional areas will no longer have to undergo mandatory quarantine upon arriving in the NT.

20.01.2022 No words.. my heart just broke a little more... x "Budget forecasts international travel recovery from mid-2022" International travel constrained over 2021 and the first half of 2022.... Tonight's Federal Budget has confirmed Government expectations that Australia's international borders will remain closed for at least the next 12 months. Treasurer Josh Frydenberg suggested that small phased programs for international students will commence in late 2021 and gradually increase from 2022, but warned that "the rate of international arrivals will continue to be constrained by State and Territory quarantine caps over 2021 and the first half of 2022, with the exception of passengers from Safe Travel Zones". Inbound and outbound international travel is expected to remain low through to mid-2022, after which a "gradual recovery in international tourism is assumed to occur," the Budget papers say. However while uneven vaccine rollouts across the globe are likely to prolong international travel restrictions, Australia's tourism services exports are predicted to grow strongly in 2022/23 as border closures ease.

06.01.2022 Unfortunately so far for 2020!!

03.01.2022 Tassie border announcement today and a possible preview of other States due to follow. Safe to say 2020 may not open up interstate travel until the New Year. Very uncertain for Xmas and any interstate travel at this stage.

03.01.2022 Strangely there has been a lot of behind the scenes chat lately among my fellow colleagues with the misconception that Travel Agents only book International and people are waiting for borders to open and flights to resume internationally before they reach out to their agent. I can tell you this is not the case. I actually started as a Domestic Agent 25 years ago! Agents book everything! People ARE travelling domestically, even for a local weekend away so keep in mind not book...ing with your local agent potentially means you are supporting overseas suppliers and not keeping money local or inside Australia borders! Not what we want! We want the Australian Tourism Industry to thrive and come back from the brink of collapse! Remember right now your agent needs your support more than ever to book domestic in order to keep them in business. If this is even a hotel night or 10 hotel nights, car hire, motor-home hire, day tours, cruises..whatever it is, no matter how big or how small, ask your agent first! They will be forever grateful. And they will always have your back. And if you don't have an awesome agent, ask someone you know who does! The Internet is for Looking, your Agent is for Booking! #supportyourtravelagent

03.01.2022 Ok so let’s pretend you have just been granted permission to travel! Yes! ** WHERE are you going?? And with WHO? ** I myself fancy a warm family trip to Fiji staying in a bure on the beach sipping cocktails and working on a beach tan. Not much to ask?!

02.01.2022 NT possibly shut until end of 2021 https://karryon.com.au//nt-border-forecast-to-remain-clos/
